Yet another Lenten journey

” A Leper came to Jesus and kneeling down begged him and said, “if you wish, you can make me clean”. Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, I do will it, be made clean”

MK 1:40-41

With yet another Lenten journey about to embark and open it’s gates to us all, may we all first take the trek back into the house of God, so we can rekindle our relationship with Jesus, to let our hearts be warmed with his love, to fill our souls, then bring the same warmth and love to one another, as we then take the 40 day journey of Lent, through this journey of life.

As we take this journey of Lent, we do so as we sacrifice something, just as Jesus sacrificed himself, for us all. When Jesus came and walked his journey with us, he did so while showing us all, just how to not only love ourselves, but to love all those around us as well. Jesus is the one who healed us from all the ugliness around us, he healed many from their sicknesses and their diseases, all we need was, to have complete faith in ourselves as well as in him, so we then can have great hope moving forward. Jesus has done a great deal for each of us, now as the journey of Lent is upon us, let us show him Respect, by honoring him, and sacrificing a part of us, through this journey of Lent.

When the Leper stepped forward into the eyes of Jesus, those around him flinched with his looks, but Jesus never flinched as he called him near, The Leper asked Jesus to cleanse him, and Jesus did just that with no regret. Those that were there and witnessed the cleansing, were in complete awe of this, as they to wanted Jesus to heal them moving forward. Even though we of this society have never seen or heard from Jesus, he is there, not only there, but with the faith in him, he gives us hope moving forward, as we walk our paths through this journey. The love of Jesus is always within us, and will never leave us, only that, with our actions and the clouds of our judgments, does then the love become buried deeply, as our hearts then become cold.

We of this society, and we of little faith today, have lost sight of the hope that is in front of us, because of some among us, we are forced to see all the ugliness, forced to bury the love deep within, which then fills our hearts with the cold of hatred, that clouds our judgments, that brings us into denial, without seeing the reality that is right in front of us. We are better than this, we are stronger than this, Jesus didn’t teach us this when he came to us, this is totally on us, the people who walk their paths of this journey, we have become so engulfed with the negatives, that the clouds are stopping us from seeing any positives. It really doesn’t have to be this way, this is not of who we truly are, as the love is always within us, and the hate is a learned behavior, of which we learn it from somewhere, or someone. Today we all have become the Leper of this society, and with this Lenten journey in front of us, may we all then, come before Jesus Christ and kneel, as we then ask him to heal us from this ugliness around us, so we than can dig down deep, get back in touch with his love, let the love warm our hearts once again, so the hate will disappear from us all, share the love with each other. Then as we are back in touch with our true selves, and as we keep the faith of ourselves and Jesus front and center, then the hope will always be there in front of us as well, so we then can move forward in strength, walk our paths to be better, throughout this journey of life, as Jesus showed us, when he came to us and walked his path among us.

The ugliness and the hatred within this society is totally on all of us, this is not of who we truly are. Just like the society back when Jesus came and walked his path, we of this society have let some, engulf us with their power, control and greed grab, that has forced us into the darkness, and away from the light. It is okay to travel through the darkness, as this helps heal us from our troubles, but when we get stuck in the darkness, with no light in sight, this is when we bury the love of Jesus deeply, as we try to minimize the pain, to keep the hurt as little as we can, the darkness keeps us in touch with reality, as the light is right around the corner. Even the light of the day, gives way to the darkness, but only for a short time, as the light comes back even brighter the next day, We are all encompassed within the darkness of the ugliness around us, this darkness does not have to last, so as we enter in this Lenten journey once again, may we all sacrifice something as Jesus did, so at the end of this 40 day journey of Lent, we then, can move into the light, with complete faith in ourselves and Jesus Christ, as the hope brings the love up out of the darkness within us, warms our hearts greatly, so we than can share this love with each other, as we now can walk our paths better and stronger, which then, brings the peace and happiness to us all throughout this journey of life.

” Through the darkness comes the light, just like when there is faith there is also hope”

” When the Leper steps out of the darkness we turn away, which further deepens the love within us”

” The 40 days of Lent is just a small sacrifice, then the sacrifice Jesus made for all throughout this journey”

A Holy week like no other

The face of Jesus Christ will come to us when we least expect it, also it will take shape in anything for which we look, just like upon this trunk of the tree and complete with the crown of thorns on his head. Jesus came to us and walked this journey here with us, he taught us many things, all while showing his true love for each of us. Jesus was the son of God and the fisher of men, as he led us away from temptation and toward the light of the path of righteousness. There were many things written within the Bible which was the words of Jesus, things that he described would happen through our time within our journey’s, some of these things would bring us into the darkness of Satan, but it would also test us so we then would learn from the error of our ways, to become better and stronger on this journey through life, in order to be able to get to the light, it is the darkness that strengthens us, only we let the fear of the dark cloud our judgments and become lost through the clouds.

The darkness of Satan although it may seem longer then it truly is, really does not seem that long, as the good from the light of Jesus will always be much longer than any darkness that may come to us. With faith, it is the hope that the darkness doesn’t last, so the light will come, bringing us closer to that path of righteousness that Jesus had shown us. ” the fear of the darkness is real and brings pain, but the light will lift the pain ending the fear”. Even Jesus was tempted by the darkness of Satan, but as he stayed true to the faith of his father, the hope kept guiding him toward the light of the path of righteousness.

The darkness is upon us now, it is silent and invisible, it has taken shape as a virus that not only is making us sick but to the weak, it has become a death sentence that will end this journey of life. True it is very sad, but what is even sadder is, the ones who are succumbing to this virus, are dying alone with no one by there side. The best way to get through this is, not only having the true faith in Jesus Christ but having true faith in yourself to fight this fight, keep your immune as healthy as you can, while social distancing from each other, even you yourself may not know if you are a carrier or not? Even though this social distancing part may be hard on us for the ones we hold close, the power of prayer, the power of faith will bring us all the hope we need, so we then can see the true light, that will take us to the path of righteousness, so we all can move forward along our paths of this journey through life, in the peace and happiness, that Jesus wanted for us all when he came and walked this journey here with us.

” The journey of Lent is a forty-day journey ending the week of Holy Week, with Good Friday¬† to bring us to the light of goodness for all”

” The darkness never lasts as there is always the light to bring us the happiness away from our fears”
