Is the glass half empty or is it really half full…………….

robin           Robin Williams was a brilliant, caring and loving man. A man that to most, was looked at as being funny with all the comedies he has acted in.  As Robin Williams made us all laugh for as long as he did, he was hiding a huge part of himself deep within his sole and that part was eating him from the inside out. Depression…… A word we don’t truly understand fully, as this word affects us in many different ways. Most people think that when you are depressed, your supposed to be all alone, your crying a lot,  always sad and almost never smile at anything. The true fact of depression is, you can function and externally carry on like nothing is wrong when you are around others, but when you are in the safe zone of your house Depression will then hit you very hard, you will have many thoughts roam within your head, but none more than the thought of, I don’t want to walk this path of this journey of life anymore.

Depression is the real true silent Killer, it will eat you alive from the inside out, depression will strip us from having true feelings and rob us from our true emotions. A lot of times Depression is triggered by a tragic event that may happen to us, we get lost within the clouds of our thoughts and as we are lost, we then move forward without showing to others around us, that we are troubled and don’t want to show weakness, as we think others will think of us as  lesser. When Deep Depression hits we will do and try anything, to not let it show to others around us, even though our feelings and emotions are not truly protecting us like they would when we are truly healthy. Through deep Depression we don’t truly acknowledge what is happening to us, we bury deep within our souls our true feelings and emotions, so we can function and move forward, as normal as we think normal is.

Shame is a big word right next to the word Depression. when we are full of shame we then become someone we truly are not, when we are shamed we lose our true feelings and emotions, we lose a huge piece of who we are and we hide within ourselves, to try to protect ourselves from further pain and shame. Depression and shame are like faith and hope, You need to have faith so you can have any hope, as you are shamed first which brings out the Depression. But!!! when you are shamed and depressed, you have no idea how to have faith, which leaves no hope in your future.

When we are depressed we don’t want anything to do with anybody, we want to be alone with no one around, basically we want to curl up in a ball and roll away from everybody around us. Then when we do go out and about within Society, we will with a fake self, as our true self is hidden deep within our core, to further protect ourselves from further harm, shame, pain and hurt. Depression will have us question ourselves and why do I feel this way? We won’t even see the glass as half empty or full, as it is only a glass in which to drink whatever is in the glass.

Robin Williams was a very funny Man and could also play the serious role just as good as the comedy role, he wanted to make us all laugh because, he was hurting very deeply inside with Depression and he hid it well from all of us, for which he made laugh everyday, this was his way of not acknowledging this sickness of Depression, hiding his pain so he can try to move forward as normal as he thought normal was. There are a lot of other People out there like Robin Williams, we don’t hear from them much, cause they are not only hiding from us, they are also hiding from themselves as well. In order to be able to help ourselves and those around us, we need to be able to better understand Depression and the many ways it can affect us, so we all can walk our paths along this journey of life, as healthy and happy as we possibly can.

” Depression is a sneaky little Illness that will take you over before you least expect it”

” Robin Williams the funny man……but deep within his core he was more troubled than he was funny”

” Shame…Depression…Faith…Hope, these are all words….but these words are more powerful than we really give them credit for, cause we don’t truly understand them”

Depression an Illness that does not discriminate

Depression is an Illness that does not discriminate, it is an Illness that all of us who walk this Earth can suffer from, it is a Chemical imbalence within our brains, that deep inside our own bodies can hurt with so much pain, it eats us from the inside out.
Depression is the “silent killer”, because those that suffer from it don’t talk about it, Depression also makes you pull back from reality, as well as others around you, it also makes you put up these invisable walls, in order to try to ease the pain, when these walls are in place, you than become absorbed in your own little fantasy world.
Sometimes we don’t even know ourselves when this Depression has it’s hold on us til it’s too late, we try to move forward in our lives, while putting up this fake potrayal of ourselves, so others around us won’t see us in a state of pain, we may smile on the outside, but deep on the inside, we hurt so bad we will try anything to stop the pain.
Depression in today’s Society is not taken as a serious Illness, when you suffer through it, you hide it so others won’t look at you as “Mentally Challenged”, there is nothing wrong mentally, just this chemical imbalence being triggered and making everything you do seem out of balence, this chemical imbalence can happen to anybody from, a leader of a free world, a rock star, a hollywood star, or simply someone that is homeless living on the street, this Illness shows no discrimination and can affect anybody that walks this Earth.
When suffering from this Illness, you want nothing to do with the outside world, cause you don’t want them to see your pain, so you stay within your own little fantasy world and shut yourself off from all that is around you, with Robin Williams he used his Hollyood life to show everybody he was happy, then as he went home to a lonely house, is when the pain of the Illness took it’s toll on him.
Depression is a serious Illness that we all need to take seriously, we need to understand better of the Ilness, so we all can be better and stronger, as we walk our paths along our Journey of life, not just talking for a short time about it, cause one of our most beloved actors/comedians just past from it, I am saying real true communications of the Ilness, not just to understand it better, but those who suffer from it, need to truely trust in others, so they can communicate about the pain, reach down deep inside to pull out this Demon, so they can get back to being truely happy as they walk their paths along their Journey of life.

” Depression is an Illness that does not discriminate, it will affect all of us if we let it”

” Depression is an Illness that makes you shut down from reality, live within your own little fantasy world, to try to ease the pain, it’s time to take it serious and understand it, before it consumes everything about us”

” Depression the silent killer, time to break the silence, so we can stop the killing of this Illness, by communicating openly and having true trust in each other, before the Illness destroyes everything about us”

Robin Williams gift, he shared with us all

Robin Williams had a gift, this gift was his way of sharing with us all, so we could laugh and cry, in order for us to heal ourselves, so we could move forward on our paths, of our Journey of life.
Robin Williams was a very funny man, he could make a joke out of anything that crossed his path, he was also very talented as an actor and this showed up huge in the movie Dead Poets Society, I remember watching this movie when it first aired and getting chills at the way he played his part, this proved to me that he was even more talented in a serious role, than in a comedy role.
Robin Williams was more than just an actor/comedian and our troops had a special place in his heart, Robin Williams filled in when the great Bob Hope passed, with the USO and he never looked back, as he went to see the troops every chance he had, he made them laugh and forget for a short time all the bad and innocent killings that was happening around them.
Robin Williams on the exterior was a great man and a man that helped many of us laugh when we needed it most, he was a man that used laughter, to help us all forget our troubles even if it was for a short time? Robin Williams was a special and gifted Human Being, that used his special gift to help so many and he will be missed deeply, by each and every one of us, in our own way.
Robin Williams on the interior was a very troubled person that he never showed to any, except those close to him, he suffered from extreme Depression, this is an Illness that is a chemical imbalence within the brain, each and every one of us also have this chemical imbalence, but we hide it so we won’t show our weakness to others, Robin also has hidden this to try to use his gift, to overcome it, this depression is an Illness that makes us pull back from reality, pull back from others around us, become secluded in our own little world and forces us to do things we normally would never do.
Depression comes to us in many ways, sometimes we don’t even know we are depressed til it’s too late, in this Society we don’t want to admit to this seclusion, cause others around us will look at us in a different way, they will avoid you and the depression like the black plague, so when you are depressed you try to become something you are not, so others will see you in a good way, instead of in a bad way, this chemical imbalence is within all our brains and it can be triggered in many ways, it is so complex that even our smartest of Scientists can’t pinpoint the where’s and the how’s of the Illness, this Depression can make you seem very happy on the outside, but deep inside you are hurting and in so much pain, most people that have this Depression, end up like Robin Williams cause they can’t take it anymore and just want to end the pain, Depression is an Illness and all of us are subject to it, it does not discriminate no matter who you are, this is why we need to understand it better, so we all as Humans can be better and stronger, as we walk our paths along our Journey of life.

” Depression is an Illness, let’s understand it better, in the name of the great Robin Williams”

” Depression is the silent killer, cause nobody wants to admit to it, let’s understand it better, so we can all be better and stronger moving forward”

” Depression forces us to pull back from everything/anything around us, it gives us great pain deep inside ourselves, we don’t want to admit to this pain, so it then eats us up from the inside out”
