Spring has finally sprung. With Spring there comes warmer weather, new birth  within the great outdoors, which has us coming out from the Winter coma we have been in. Time to get out within nature, see all the true beauty that Mother Nature holds deep within her beauty instead of, the fury from the Winter storms and the white winter blanket. Spring brings all the great outdoor activities for us all to enjoy, with each step of our paths, along this journey of life.

Camping within nature may seem too primitive for some, but it is just right for the outdoor enthusiast. Time to breathe in all the clean air of nature, simply stop and listen to the sounds of nature, the leaves swaying in the breeze, the water hitting the shoreline, the sweet music of the birds as they sing you a tune, the crackle of the fire burning within your camp fire and just maybe in the night sky, an Owl lands in the tree close by and chats to you in his language. Once you set camp, now you can throw out the time of Society, as now you are on camp time which means, throw away the watch and simply, enjoy all that is around you.

There is only one kind of true camping and it is done within a tent, that you set up within nature, there is so much equipment out there today, once you set camp, it is really not a camp anymore, but a five star hotel all to yourself. A hotel within nature, surrounded by beautiful greens and a bubbling brook with a soothing sound. Cook right over the open fire, or just fire up the camp stove and grill. You know…….. getting back to the tent for a bit, there are so many different kinds and sizes to choose from, some with LED lighting within the poles on the inside with its own battery pack, plus all the different air mattresses or cots, to lay on for the comforts of home. Camping within nature has come a long way, which has turned it from true primitive camping to the camping or ” Glamping” in luxury, take your pick, but remember………. You still have to hike within the woods, with all the equipment you buy for your camping enjoyment.

Camping has changed so much from an equipment point of view, but the journey within nature is all you need, to simply relax and unwind from the daily grind. Yes you can add to the camping experience with some toys like, a boat, or maybe an atv, but these toys should never take away from the true camping experience within nature.

” There are many looks of camping, but the look of nature is all you need to truly relax”

” It is not camping without the camp fire, so don’t forget the firewood, as you venture into the woods for nature’s beauty”

” Spring brings the warmth, the warmth brings camping, the rest is us sitting in front of the campfire and relaxing”

Nothing like a good campfire for the ambiance of real camping.

Real camping is going deep within the Wilderness, away from all the noise and commotion of Civilization, so you can unwind, sit by the campfire and totally relax away all the stress of everyday living. Most people want to camp in places with all different kinds of activities going on around them, a bath house with running water and an electric supply to keep their Techy devices plugged in, so they can check their Facebook statuses. This is not true camping and definitely not getting away from the rat race in order to get true relaxation.

Back in the beginning of Mankind this wasn’t called camping, as this was how early Man survived and kept warm through the cold days of winter. Most people of today can’t even make a campfire, without using a starter log, or maybe some kerosene and a touch of gasoline. Mention the making of a small bow to spin a small twig in and some will respond, ” whats a bow? It is like the bow of a bow and arrow, except smaller, so you can spin a twig within the twine, on top of a flat piece of wood, then you can create enough friction, to get a hot ember, than place it in the campfire, while blowing gently on it to create a small flame, which will then help you build the campfire and the ambiance of real camping.   When you spin the twig fast enough to create friction, you are heating up the twig, then pieces of it fall to the flat piece of wood below and start to smoke, which then turns into this hot ember, from the ember when you blow lightly on it, will then flame and you place it within the campfire you built, to catch bigger twigs and logs, then eventually into a nice campfire, so you can set the ambiance of real camping.

It doesn’t get any better than real primitive camping, a place where there is nothing around you but the great outdoors and the wildlife that live out there with no worries and a care for anything, that we the people take for granted. Once you set camp, gather the firewood from all the dead wood and fallen tree’s, get the fire started, now let the true relaxation of primitive camping begin, as you feel the stress of everyday living simply leave your body. Even better if you have a fishing rod with you, then you can relax by the water, as you try to bring in a couple keepers, then bring them to camp, to clean and filet, so you can cook them over the open fire of the great outdoors.

Primitive camping may not be for everybody, but for the real adventurous types, it is a way to get back in touch of who we really are throughout Mankind,  it is a way to let the everyday stress from civilization just flow out of your body, so we can truly relax, unwind and enjoy all the beauty that is around us. There is so much more to enjoy as we walk our paths along this journey of life, but when we get caught up within our comfort zones, we don;t go outside the box, to truly take in all the true beauty that is around us and this is what true primitive camping really does.

” Primitive camping isn’t sitting around a public campsite with activities and noise around you, it is being so deep in the wilderness, that you can actually here yourself think, as well as all the wildlife that may be around you”

” The campfire is what sets the ambiance of camping, without a campfire you have no ambiance or warmth on a cool night”

Like sand in the hour glass……..the sunrise through time

Tree          Sunrise is the most beautiful time of the day, as it is the time to wake up and start a new day. Like the sunset is the ending of the day and just as beautiful, the sunrise is the start of the ending each and everyday. We in today’s Society take so much for granted, with each sunrise and sunset being the biggest thing we take for granted. Without a sunrise you can’t have a sunset and without a sunrise nothing will ever wake up to start a new.

You can see in this picture how the sun wakes up and clears the overnight dew from the tree, as you can see the sun winking between the limbs. The sun brings the light so all can breathe, wake up and feel alive to start fresh each and every day. Then at the end of the day, the sun sets, for some much needed rest from the energy it burns in bringing the light to all that it shines on. Just as the sun sets for it’s much needed rest, we all throughout Society, the tree’s and all other forms of life, will also get some needed rest, unless your a night Owl that enjoys burning the midnight oil.

You need to get away from the city lights and all the commotion that the city brings, so you can see the true beauty of each sunrise and sunset. Which is why I enjoy true Wilderness camping and I recommend that all should try it as well, yes true Wilderness camping means no cell phones or techy devices, as none of that will get any signal for you to use, which means total relaxation and enjoying all the true beauty that is around you. After the sun has set, it is time to sit by the campfire and get mesmerized by the burning coals, the glow of the of the coals on the bottom and the quivering flames above, is better than Yoga to clear your mind and totally relax your whole body and sole. Ah!!! how relaxed I am just thinking of this beauty, with no city lights, or sounds of a beeping horn and siren of the emergency vehicles.

To some this type of camping is too remote, as you have no electricity or running water to flush a toilet, but to a true camper, this is paradise and total relaxation. True in this Society we have forgotten how to live in remote places as this, but at the beginning of Mankind, this was the only way in which too live.

There is nothing like camping in the wilderness at the foot of a pond, waking up before the sun and jumping into a canoe or a kayak, paddling out to the middle of the pond and watching the sun wake up, what great pictures this makes, not too mention if your lucky enough, you will also see some American Bald Eagles diving into the water around you, in search for their daily breakfast. Then as everything wakes up around you during the sunrise, break out the fishing pole, to catch you some fresh catch of the day, to enjoy by the campfire later in the day. Fishing is another great way to unwind and relax and as you wait for the fish to bite, you can look around at all of Natures beauty that is around you.

We throughout Society take so much for granted, but nothing more than the sunrises and sunsets of each day. We all walk a path through this journey of life, within this fast paced Society of today, we don’t take the time to stop and enjoy what is around us, stop and smell the flowers of life, stop and enjoy watching the sun wake up with each sunrise, we don’t know how to truly relax anymore, as we all are wound up and uptight every minute of the day. The journey of life to some is short, to others is long, but if we don’t enjoy this journey while we are here, then this journey will be wasted time and full of regrets.

” Sunrise is the waking up of everything around you, sunset is when all gets some much needed rest, we throughout mankind take these for granted, cause we don’t stop to enjoy what is around you”

” There is always an ending within this journey through life, but what we over look is, there is always a new beginning that comes from all the endings”

” As the sunrise comes it is the most calm part of the day, but if you don’t wake up to see it, then this calmness will pass you by”

Getting back in touch with Mankinds roots….

Real primitive type camping………. a part of life we all have taken for granted. Within today’s Society of we want it all now and being pampered in everything we do, we have lost site of the times within Mankind that has led us to where we are now. Even this type of camping and the nice tents we use to sleep in, or the camp grills and stoves we use to cook our meals, is not truly roughing it as the ones who were part of the beginning of Mankind. The first of Mankind to wander this planet Earth, truly had it rough, no store to go buy any clothing or food, no homes or even a tent to seek shelter in, they had to learn to build a fire for warmth, not too mention learning to cook their meat from the hunt, so they can eat and refuel their bodies. We within this Society are so much more pampered than those of earlier Mankind as they walked their paths of their journey through life.

We throughout this Society have taken so much for granted, that those of earlier Societies are turning over in their graves and are becoming restless, for they are disappointed in the way we walk our paths of our journey through life. Those of earlier Societies may have lived a simple life, but we of today’s society live an easy life with all the technology we have today, plus we also take so much for granted that we have lost respect for everything around us. The journey of life…. yes should be easier from one Society to another, as we learn from each other, fix the mistakes so we can be better through time as we do become smarter as we evolve through time, but when we think we are smarter than each other and lose respect of each other, is when we take everything for granted, than as we lose respect for each other, we then become irresponsible, which we then don’t acknowledge our faults, so if we can’t be responsible anymore, then how can we truly be better than all other Societies of the past?

this type of primitive camping within a tent, is a dieing breed today, as it is being taken for granted of by an easier type of camping, within the walls of a camper and with all the comforts of home,  not too mention on the grounds of a campground, with all kinds of fun activities going on around you and hook ups of electricity, water and waste pumps for the toilet. I understand we want the easy life, but when it involves losing respect, being irresponsible and taking everything for granted, than this camping within the walls of a camper is forcing us to become something we truly are not. A big part of us growing within Society involves, learning from earlier Societies and fixing mistakes they made to make our Society better and stronger, not losing respect, being irresponsible and taking everything around us for granted. We all walk our paths along this journey of life, when we do it right and learn from each other, so we can fix the mistakes of the past, then we all can walk our paths of our journey in peace, as we become better and stronger than Societies of the past.

” Camping to us is not the true camping or living like the early Societies of Mankind”

” Real primitive camping helps us stay connected with Mother Earth and all that is around us”

” Respect, responsibility and taking everything for granted, is the sum of the product we live today within our Society”

Life of the great outdoors…….

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA               Life within the great outdoors has a beauty of its own and will take your breathe away when you see first hand. Whether your camping and I mean the real camping in a tent, so deep within the wilderness, that cell phone service does not exist, you have to raise your food high enough in the tree’s to keep the Bears from having an open invitation to eating it, you build a campfire to not only cook your meals, but gives you warmth from the night air, true it is work just to hike into camp, set up camp and gather wood for the camp fire, but when all is set there is no better way to relax, when your sitting around the fire and taking in the sounds of nature around you.

Hiking a trail or a mountain you have never been on and exploring the unknown, then seeing some breathe taking sights that normally you would never see, not only the scenery but the wildlife you come across on the path of the trail in which you take, like when I hiked up mount Albert in Leadville, Colorado. This was an elevation of 14,500 and the highest I have ever been, the journey on the trail to the top put me in a state of awe many times along my trek, not to mention the snow fall I encountered at the top in the month of July. Yes I was prepared for anything I may encounter, as it was only a day trip but I had a full backpack on my back, as I hiked up the trail I came across many buildings that were still standing strong from the days of yesteryear, as I approached these buildings I did stop to explore further, looked inside and was amazed at the workmanship of these buildings, plus how they were still standing through the test of time and the brutal weather that they endured. Hiking in areas we normally would never hike, helps us better understand that we are not alone and that others have walked their journeys here on Earth, it gives us a feeling of accomplishment, as well as getting us out of our comfort zone and as we accomplish one hike, we than want to hike more.

To some getting out of there comfort zone is to take a new route to work, that may be okay to see new things, but your destination is right back into your comfort zone where you feel safe, but to truly get out of your comfort zone, you have to explore new things, feel that feeling of accomplishment after you reached the summit, like I did when I reached 14,500 on top of mount Albert, see things you would normally never see, no matter what route you take to work. Plus to see the buildings that were built from the original settler’s and still standing strong today, now that will give you a whole new outlook on life today, they built these buildings with what was around them and not going to your local Home Depot, life today is in so many ways easier than back in those days, but yet we in our minds think we have it hard and we make our lives harder than it really has to be.

Life in the great outdoors has so much to offer, its not just going in the backyard and grilling steaks on the BBQ, its going out and trekking in areas you normally would never go, exploring and seeing things that you never seen, or even thought ever existed. When you explore the outdoors you not only learn and see new things, you also learn of yourself also, you find that there is a lot more than just walking your normal path of your journey of life, you also learn that no matter what event that life throws at you, you can overcome that event with the confidence to be better and stronger as you walk your path along your journey of life, just as the ones that came before us and walked their paths along their journey of life.

” The great outdoors has a lot to offer us, than just the rays of the sun and the stars of the night sky”

” To reach the summit of the mountain isn’t just about the walk to the top, it is more about the feeling of accomplishment when you reach the summit”

” The feeling of accomplishment is something we can get, not by just reaching the summit of any mountain”
