The Brevity of Life

” What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes”

James 4:14

The band named Kansas has a song out there that sums it up in the title of the song, ” Dust in the wind”. We are all just dust in the wind, that blows around as we walk our paths of this journey, we are a blade of grass that gets blown in the wind, and are just a part of the landscape around us. There is nothing here within this journey that is forever, just look at this tree, or what’s left of it after the power of lightning got a hold of it. Just like we need to do the cultivating along our paths, mother nature does the cultivating of all the landscape around us. You just do not know how long this journey will last for you, either you are here for a short time, or a bit longer, so you need to cultivate properly so this journey will bring you all the fruit, instead of the pits, of all that is around you.

We all need to face it sooner or later, face the facts that one day this journey will end for us, yes this is a sad day, but one even sadder to all those we hold dear, as now you are taken from them. Can you ever be ready for this day? Who knows, as once this journey ends, it is not like you can communicate this to those around you. All we can do while we are here is, prepare ourselves for this day, prepare our paths to the best ability we can, so those that walk behind us can keep moving forward in your honor. Some may ask, why do some need to die on this journey? Maybe simply look deep within mother nature, to see that much of nature also die off, so the future can be greener and more vibrant. With all the ugliness, hatred, and the attacking of one another, maybe this is the way of the Lord, sending us a message that we need to come together in unity or die apart from another in the division?

Grief is a part of life within this journey, when we do not grieve properly, now we open ourselves up, to a whole lot of issues as we walk our paths, It’s these issues then, that turn us into someone/something we are not. From the process of not grieving properly, this is what has us, not cultivating our paths as we should, so this journey can be full of peace and joy at every turn. The Brevity of life may be short, but life itself does not have to bring great pain either.

The grass is green and vibrant, but just don’t look at the grass, look through the grass and see all the vibrancy all around that blade of grass. Sometimes we never look around us to see what is there, we walk around with blinders on and see only what we want to see, as we totally miss what we need to see, so we can walk through our paths properly, along this journey of life. There are so many cancers throughout this journey, sometimes we let our focus become blurry of the rest of what is around us, the cancers of life, when you look deeper into the cancer, it goes a lot deeper than any disease, there are many cancers that will come to us, and many more that we never truly understand, only because we chose not to understand, only to walk around, instead of hitting it head-on.

Sometimes like within the world we live in today, we think that we are entitled to everything around us, we do not want to share anything with anybody, we take so much for granted, that we then lose sight of everything around us. We can’t have everything and we also can not take it with us, when this journey comes to a close either. So there is no real answer to any of what is going on around us today, just that we have not only lost sight of reality, even worse, we have lost sight of each other as well, which would explain all the division all around us. What is happening all around us, is not true of who we are, cause when we are who we are in the eyes of God, there is zero negativity, there is zero bitterness, this is all on us, and we need to fix our wrongs before it becomes too late, then the ride through this journey comes to an end, leaving us all with regret, for what we should have done, instead of what we failed to do. Life is full of Brevity, we need to understand totally from it, or forever be within the doubt and the regret that will keep us from walking our paths through this journey, in the peace, joy, and serenity, for which we all so deserve.

” Through Brevity comes longevity, it is time we truly understand before it becomes too late”

” We are the cultivators of our paths, like mother nature is the cultivator of all the landscape around us”
