A piece of History……

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

The delivery of the History lesson and the way the teacher teaches the lesson………… Okay it might need some excitement brought into the lesson, but when you simply go out within Nature and explore, makes for a great way to learn all the History you want to learn about.

Rockwood is a small town within northern Maine at the tip of Moosehead lake toward the north and not far from the Canadian border. It is always fun to learn of these places, where you don’t venture to all that often, so you can see how the town was born, what resources came from this town and who was the first settlers of this town. Maine is one of those States that is full of History, some maybe you do know, but a lot you never knew. When some come here for a visit a lot of times they don’t take the time to truly learn of the History, only they jump into their boats and go so fast, the History goes right over their heads, without them really learning of where they are.

Yes the Ice Age was real and something that truly happened along this journey through life, this life evolves in cycles and each cycle is round, so over time, there are times that keeps repeating itself, just like the life cycle of each one of us, within our cycles there are the up’s as well as the down’s, things happen to us within our cycles for a reason and it is us that needs to find the reason, so we can be better informed as our cycle turns round and round, the same goes for the cycles within the journey as well, they also happen for a reason and unless we understand truly the reason, we will never truly understand any History that is right in front of us.

History has proven time and time again, that the Native Indian here in America was here first, it is us the White man that invaded them and pushed ourselves into their home. We cut down all the tree’s, developed all the land and all simply for the greed, then once we got a taste of the greed, we then let the greed control truly of who we are. Okay there have been some of our elected officials over the History of these United States that actually had a brain and with that brain, they have declared some of the land here a National land or park, where it is protected from any development, so there are is still some true beauty for us to get out and explore, but that still doesn’t make it right that we invaded and developed a good chunk of this land and all in the name of greed.

True that all this land within North America is rich with resources that we need, but there is a difference between taking the resources to make our lives better and taking the resources, just to line our pockets with greed. The biggest problem with the History of this great land of America is, we the People………. We the People have destroyed a big chunk of this land, just for the greed and could care less of any History that the land may hold. Mount Kineo was formed from the Ice Age of over 10,000 years ago, it was a place the Native Americans fished, hunted and gathered the Kineo Rhyolite, which is a durable stone for them to make their tools, this was also considered one of the best finds in all of North America. It is fun to learn of all this History and even more fun, to get out and explore as we walk our paths through this journey of life.

In the 1800’s the Moose river to Moosehead lake became the premier waterways for reaching all the logging roads within the woods of Maine and Rockwood, became the staging grounds for the full scale logging operations. Rockwood is truly a beautiful place and when you really learn of it’s History, makes it even more beautiful a place to visit and get away from the daily grind.

Every State within these United States is rich with their own History and to truly learn of the History, we need to get out and explore, instead of just developing the land, to fill our pockets with the greed, or not truly focusing on the history and getting lost within the journey for which we walk.

” Mount Kineo is one of those hidden gems, that most have no idea of what or even where it is”

” The native American was here first, as we the white man invaded and took their homes away from them”

” There are many places like Rockwood throughout this country, just that we have to get out and explore to see all the true beauty”

” There is much wildlife throughout the area of northern Maine, with the American Bald Eagle taking up residence there as well”

” The American Bald Eagle is such a big powerful bird and is fun to just sit and watch as they fly through the sky with the greatest of ease”

The Broken Stump with no Roots……

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

Just as this stump became detached from it’s roots and looks aged with no signs of life, we to as Humans will become the same, if we don’t maintain  who we are, while we keep our roots nourished with nutrients and stay at their strongest always.

This stump over time has broken off from it’s roots, leaving it high and dry on the shores of the pond, without it’s strong roots now you have a, once vibrant tree, turned into a broken stump, simply because the tree has become separated  from what was the strongest part of the tree.

Within today’s Society you can clearly see that some, have totally become broken from their roots, leaving them like a fish out of water, with no roots to guide them as they walk their journey through life. Anything…… When you have no roots, there is no foundation, to which to build on and become better and stronger, moving forward.

The roots of anything will always branch out in many different directions, which then leads to much prosperity and health as you move forward along this journey, sometimes the roots may look like they go nowhere, but it is the roots that, guide us as we build a strong foundation and then, move forward with strength.

Before the roots take place, there is a seed that needs to be planted and get nourished with nutrients, so the roots can then become set, to build a strong foundation and then venture out, into many directions of prosperity.

Sometimes roots can become blocked from extending out, or develop a disease that causes it to become distorted, this can also bring much pain and hurt, much like a root canal in our mouths with our teeth, yes this pain can be great, which is why we visit a Dentist, so he can relieve us of the pain, but when we walk our paths of this journey and the pain becomes so great sometimes, we don’t have the luxury of a Dentist to deaden the pain,  so we either try to go around the obstruction, or we then go back and try another path, to continue setting our roots and building a strong foundation.

The old dried up stump, that has been cut off from it’s roots, is very much like this broken Society, as everything needs nutrients to survive and become strong moving forward, when we are not nourished properly and our roots haven’t had a chance to develop a strong foundation, we will then become like this stump and be within a broken Society in need of some major nutrients, with no growth moving forward, along our paths of this journey through life.

” The roots of life are what is needed to be vibrant and strong moving forward”

” Roots are planted from a seed, to be nourished with nutrients, to build a strong foundation, moving forward along a journey”

” The broken root like a broken Society needs some extra care and nutrients, fix what is needed, to move forward better and stronger”

” Not everything is perfect, not everything is forever, everything needs constant care, to move forward better and stronger”

It can all be taken away in a flash

” Our paths through this journey of life we take so for granted, as everything we work so hard for can be taken quicker than we realize”

***BowlingChef***

What a huge tragedy for all those who live in or around Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They have been in the biggest drought in this area in about a decade and because of this drought, has sparked many brush fires over the last few months, but the weather and the windy conditions on Monday, took these brush fires to a whole new and scary level. This picture may not be of Gatlinburg, but it shows a town very similar here in Massachusetts, a small town nestled within the mountains, that has many residents that live their lives there, this town has many things of beauty within and around it, these residents work hard for what they have and work hard to be able to live within the beauty of these mountains, a town very similar to Gatlinburg, but as we just found out earlier in the week, everything you work so hard for, can be taken quicker than you can blink your eyes and you have no control over it.

We all walk a path through this journey of life, some may grow with a silver spoon in their mouths and some work their fannies off just to survive and live along their paths and grow up with nothing, but through their hard work they achieve many things along the way. No matter who you are everything you have can be taken quicker than you realize, as we saw from the events in Tennessee, this doesn’t mean we have to stop living and enjoying what is around us, but we do need to respect more of what we have and what is around us as we walk our paths of this journey of life. Life is more precious than we lead on to think it is, we take so much for granted, without realizing just how quickly it can change.

A good majority of the Citizens in and around Gatlinburg Tennessee, are now with nothing but the clothes on their backs now, there homes totally gone with nothing but the chimney left, everything incinerated to ash on the soil of their property, all their special pictures and memories gone, furniture and material things gone, everything but the clothes on their backs, as they were running for their lives to escape the huge flames of the fires. This can happen to any of us as we never know where the next natural disaster will strike? The states in the area known as ” Tornado alley”, know all too well that life is so precious as they to have gone through what Gatlinburg and surrounding areas just went through, except a different kind of tragedy. Tragedies happen it is part of this journey through life, we can try to control them but only God has control and we need to simply…… do not take for granted of what we have, show more respect of each other, show more respect of all that is around us and take our lives a little more precious, as we walk our paths through this journey of life.

True we chose a path to walk through this journey of life, but what we don’t really think about is, just how fast it all can end, instead we take everything for granted, we think we are entitled to everything around us, just because it is there? We think just because we buy a parcel of land and build a home, that we automatically own everything else around us? We take our trips on vacation to see all the beauty of where we are, but we never think of what could happen to take this beauty away, we take so much for granted that when a tragedy does happen, we then become so devastated that we forget truly of who we are, lose all respect for all that is around us, we lose sight of what this journey is all about and we forget just how precious this journey truly is. We all walk a path though this journey of life, we need to respect all that is around us more, never forget just how precious this journey is and always never forget that, it can all end quicker then we want to admit to, so we then can move forward in peace and happiness, so we can also be better and stronger also.

” Fire, Tornado, hurricane or any other weather event are all natural disasters, that are huge tragedies that can strip us of all we work so hard to achieve”

” This journey through life is a precious thing and can be taken from us at any time in our lives”

” We work very hard for what we have in our lives and at the same time can be taken easier than we achieved it”

A Day through a journey

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

Trekking through the Wilderness will have you go through a wide range of feelings, especially after a long day when all the trees and surroundings look the same, when you know that no two trees are a like. The journey through the Wilderness in many ways is very beautiful and will bring you back in touch with yourself as well as all that is around you. When you start out your Trek you first check the map and trail head signs, to make sure you know where you are going, but when you actually start the trek, do you truly know what to expect along the path of your choosing? Just as you set the GPS in your car, it will tell you one thing, but it won’t tell you of the construction you may come across, as this construction just happened and not when the GPS was programmed or updated, you will always encounter some kind of unknown no matter what trek or journey you embark on.

With a good long day of trekking under your belt and the sun now beginning its set into night time, we need to think about setting camp for the night, with a warm camp fire to keep the chill away and boil some water for out much needed fueling up of our bodies, for the next days journey. There are many factors to consider for a safe campsite, but our tired and weary body tells us comfort is first, so we can set the tent and our sleeping bags, then jump in to create our own warmth and shut our eyes for some much needed shut eye. Perfect a nice grassy area behind a shrub to shield the wind and the grass to act as a soft cushion to lay on, this is as perfect as you will find in an area of seclusion, time to stop and set camp, gather wood for the fire and rest the weary bones.

Sitting by the fire while the water boils for our freeze dried nutrients, you sit back and relax and as you relax you suddenly realize what true quietness really sounds like, it is so quiet that you can hear a pin drop from miles away, your thoughts in your head sound as if someone is chatting next to you, the wind going through the trees will have you turn at every gust, as the wind sounds as if someone is creeping up from the darkness. Your not used to this kind of quietness, so it kind of creeps you out at first, then you get used to it and become one with your surroundings.

The water has finally boiled and is ready to fill your bowl of freeze dried nutrients, as you sit and relax and fuel your body once again, the atmosphere of your dinner time is like nothing you will get at any five star establishment and you have to do the dishes at meals end, but you don’t care as your body is becoming fueled for the next days trek. With the body all fueled and the dishes done, you stoke the fire for the night and turn into the tent, to climb into the sleeping bag, then once you are settled it is time to rejuvenate the weary bones and ready yourself for the next days journey, a good nights sleep within the quietness of your surroundings, will have you sleeping like a Bear on a cold Winters night and help the tired weary bones recharge for the next day.

We wake to the morning birds chatting and whistling with each other, the sun rising over the peak in front of us, we let out a big sigh and yawn to stretch our very relaxed body as we think of rolling out of our sleeping bag, the cool morning dew and the warmth within our bags, has us think twice to exit, but we have to so we can start the next days journey and reach the next campsite for us to relax and unwind throughout the Wilderness. The journey through the Wilderness and the path for which we take, may be full of the unknown, but it will always stay unknown, if we don’t get out and explore all that is around us, as we walk our paths through this journey of life.

” A day through a journey will have us explore in ways we usually would never explore, it will help us become better and stronger at all our crossroads in life”

” Trekking through the Wilderness will not only keep us in tuned with what is around us, but keep us in tuned with ourselves as well”

” True quiet may seem creepy if your not used to it, but it is the true quiet that helps us get more in tune with our inner selves”

” The sounds of nature so beautiful and relaxing, it helps us recharge as we become better and stronger moving forward”

Change will come to all of us along our Journey of Life…..

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

” This is a post that I wrote a couple years ago and I chose this pix as it used to be home of the Old Man of the Mountain in New Hampshire. With a few tweaks this post shows that through change, we all can walk our paths peacefully, while being happy along our journey of life”

” This journey through life really is too short to have it bring us great pain and sorrow, but through change and done correctly, we all can walk our paths in peace and be stronger and better moving forward”

Our Journey of life is far different, than any journey or trek we take, in a vacation sort of way, a vacation is a journey that we set up and control, so we can get away from reality for a bit and unwind to also relax, a Journey we all walk through life, is reality and a journey that we can’t control where we go, only walk the journey correctly, in order to make it a safe and happy passage.

Throughout this Journey of life, we as Humans go through many changes, these changes comes to us in many different ways, these changes can also be very ugly for us if we let them control our being, as these changes come to us, yes we will not accept them at first, that is perfectly okay, it is a natural feeling within all of us, when we are resistant to these changes, is when we become something we truly are not, if God thought these changes were bad for us, he wouldn’t allow these changes to come to us along our journey of life.

Change is good for the soul, if we handle them correctly and learn to accept, instead of not acknowledging that they happen for a reason, to help us be better and stronger moving forward on our paths of our journey of life.

The Journey of our vacations, is very different than our journey of life, the journey of life is all our realities and how we walk our paths through life, these changes come to us at the cross roads of our paths, God puts them there for us to see them, but it is up to us to truly see them and to acknowledge them, so we can accept them and make our journeys better and stronger moving forward, there is so much more to life than all the materialistic things we acquire, it is the spiritualistic things that drive us to walking our journey being safe, while moving forward with the strength to be better, not just for ourselves, but for all we meet along our journey.

When change comes to us, it happens in many ways, sometimes change is needed and sometimes it is unwanted, but what makes all change very ugly, is us as Humans not accepting it and resisting it, which makes us become bitter and become something/someone we are truly not.

Change is something we all go through along our journeys, change could be something very simple to us, like not putting sugar in your coffee, or other change can be very difficult, like a lifestyle change, which the latter is usually the one most likely to be resisted, but when we  resist this change, is the start of us moving forward being someone we are not and not truly  being ourselves, another type of change we deal with is, when a life event happens to us, these events come to us in many ways, just like change comes to us,  these events can be very emotional and painful to us as well, which is when we change ourselves in ways that truly isn’t who we are, change will happen to all of us as we walk our paths, it is part of the journey that God try’s to guide us into the right direction, it is how we deal with the change that makes us into who we are, the choice is always given to us by God, we can either accept or resist the change, but each will either make our paths along our journey of life be very emotional and much pain, or we can be in peace to be better and stronger moving forward.

” Change is a part of life, we can accept or resist, then either way we have to live with our choice, by becoming someone we truly are not”

” Change can be ugly, or change can be beautiful, the choice is ours to make as we walk our journeys of life”

” God puts this change at our crossroads of our paths, the choice is ours to accept or resist all these changes”

True Primitive camping

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

” Claim your own little Island for a week of true primitive camping, for a real adventure of rest and relaxation”

Your own piece of solitude for a short time to enjoy and see the true beauty all around you everyday. Throughout the Northern woods of Maine there are plenty of different sizes of lakes and ponds, all over these bodies of water there are different size islands everywhere, some already have camps on them, but there are still a lot that are uninhabited. All that is needed is a sense of adventure and a boat to gather your gear, for a great week of true primitive camping.

No electricity, no running water and make your heat by building a campfire, some may say no way? But yet there are others that will jump at the chance to completely get away from all the crap that surrounds them within this Society. Once you get to your Island, search for the perfect spot to set your camp, then set up camp and gather enough wood for the fire and chop the bigger logs into smaller logs for the fire to burn for hours, the rest is just maintaining, while you completely enjoy your home away from home, or your own piece of peace and serenity.

As you wake at the break of dawn, you can put a pot of coffee on the fire, place a camp chair on the side of the island that gives you the best vantage point, for viewing a beautiful sunrise and watch the sun wake up with you. Maybe if your lucky enough see a Moose or a Bear by the waters edge, fishing for their breakfast, or even bathing in the water? Then as you look out into the lake, maybe even seeing an Eagle diving into the water for its breakfast as well, this is what true beauty really is and why God created this Earth, so we can all enjoy it’s true beauty every where we turn.

Throughout this Society we get so engulfed within the crap and the working to make ends meet, that we totally forget about the real true beauty that is around us. We forget how to truly live and explore deeply what is around us, simply because through the crap brings us pain and hurt, which has us staying within a comfortable rut that we know, in order to keep the pain and hurt from growing bigger and hurting even more than we like. As we get stuck within the rut we then throw away the ladder, so we can’t get out to explore the true beauty that is around us.

Now as we explore our little Island and become familiar with our surroundings, we notice that the sun has moved across the sky, to the other side of the island. We then go grab the camp chair and place it at the best vantage point to see a beautiful sunset and have our breathe taken away, from the beauty before our eyes. As the sun sets we then turn to the campfire and stoke it for the cool night that has come upon us. Now as we sit by the fire staring deeply into the glowing coals, every now and then we look to the night sky and look at all the stars throughout the sky, this is a sight we can not see in the city lights back home, so we now see something very different as we now try to name the stars and planets that we do know. While sitting beneath the night sky and listening to the quietness all around us, we suddenly hear a few Loons chatting to each other, maybe a few coyotes howling to the moon, or even some Owl’s chatting to each other from one side of the lake to the other? the beauty of true primitive camping is upon us and as we sit back in our chairs in front of the fire, we totally become relaxed and fully enjoy our own little Island, which we only thought before within our dreams, sleeping in our beds within our homes.

” An Island of dreams can truly become a reality if we want it to and when we are ready to explore and take on some true primitive camping”

” Some may say no to the world of true primitive camping, but they truly don’t know what they are missing”

” To us primitive camping is a lot of hard work, but for the ones like the Native American Indian, it was a way of life and survival”

An Island of Dreams

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

We all dream of our own little piece of paradise and within this ugly Society of today, most would love to have this beauty and build a Log home smack in the middle. This Island is surrounded by a lot of natural beauty, no matter which direction you turn and look. It was nice to jump into the Kayak and go to these Islands and explore all they have to offer, but let me say that……..peace and serenity stands out more than anything.

Simply imagine yourself sitting on your Farmers porch which you built and attached to your log cabin, listening to the sounds of nature as you look out into the Lake before you. Then you see a Loon swim lazily by with no worry in the World, as the Loon goes by now you see an American Bald Eagle soar by overhead, but what you don’t realize is, they are both eyeing the same fish beneath the surface of the water. The Eagle so majestic and beautiful, soaring through the sky with the greatest of ease, then in one fell swoop he sweeps in for the fish, then fly’s away with the fish in his talons before the Loon has a chance to react, what a beautiful sight and you had a front row seat. The beauty never stops on your dream Island, as suddenly you hear twigs snapping to your right, Hmm!! What could it be? You slowly take baby steps in that direction to explore the noise, now your breathe not only goes silent, but the beauty you see takes your breathe completely away, it is a Moose  about 50 yards away, you freeze and sit very still, in order to not startle him, to make him feel welcome to your little paradise. Now you wonder just what other kinds of beauty still left for you to see, but your in no rush as eventually, all the beauty will become your norm for as long as you want it to.

Now that you seen a taste of the beauty around you, you can get back to work fixing up your cabin inside and gathering wood to chop, split and stack for the fire to cook and be warm in the chill of the night. Once you are set with the chores, time to grab the fishing pole, to catch the fish special for your dinner with time to relax and unwind. As you sit and relax, your mind starts to think about what tomorrow will bring? Maybe cultivate the soil around, so you then can grow some fresh vegetables, to go with your daily dinner. There is so much to do in order to set up your paradise, you never give it a second thought as the beauty around you, simply makes up for the work each and every day.

We see all the ugliness within our Society and after one month in your paradise, full of peace and serenity, it becomes very easy to forget there is any ugliness at all anywhere. We all walk a path through this journey of life, but if we don’t find our own space to unwind and relax, then this ugliness will forever consume every fiber within our bodies, leaving us without truly seeing any real beauty that may be around us.

” Paradise is different for each of us, which is why we have to find it before we go stir crazy”

” The Eagle soars with the greatest of ease as it is quiet like the Stealth Bomber.

” having a cabin in the middle of no where may be some work at times, but you never think of the work only see the beauty around you”

” Being one with Nature is much better than any therapy you may receive”

” When life gets you down, it is this paradise that brings you back up and ready for the next chapter”

The Dawn of a new day

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

Just as the Sun wakes up each and every day and shines it’s light upon us all, we to wake up, to once again walk our paths throughout this journey of life. Sometimes the Sun might be engulfed in the clouds and not be as bright, but it does turn the night sky into daylight, so we can see clearly of our direction on our path. We to as we wake up, are within the clouds of our judgments, sometimes these judgments over whelm us and control who we truly are, through these clouds we then never truly wake up, as we simply wander along our path without truly walking with confidence. We are kind of like the Sun, as we both have clouds circling around us, the clouds around the Sun may look puffy like you can bounce upon them, but the really dark ones are full Evil as they wreak havoc down on us and never let the Sun shine to it’s full potential. The clouds within our judgments are very similar as they wreak havoc on each of us with their Evil and if we let them, will control who we truly are. These clouds within our judgments are very dark, so we can not see properly of what we are doing, or see the direction of where we are going, just like the Weatherman on TV gives us the forecast for the weather above us and the dark Evil clouds in the sky above, so we can prepare for what ever Evil gets dropped down on us, we can fix the clouds within our judgments, if we totally focus on what is the real issue, so we can be prepared for the Evil with our inner strength, then with confidence overcome these clouds and continue moving forward along our path of this journey through life.

The clouds in the sky we look up to, just like we look up to the Sun everyday. Sometimes there are no clouds with the Sun shining to its full potential, but when the clouds appear then they block the Sun, leaving it not so bright, with big blocks of shade all around us. When we are surrounded by the clouds of our judgments we to become blocked, from truly blossoming into our full potential, we also walk our paths in the shade of these clouds, which then has our self doubt get involved along our paths, with this self doubt and the shade of the clouds, we never really see the direction we are going, let alone trying to fix any issues that may be trying to control who we are, we also never see any of the warning signs that may be there for us to stop and take stock of where we are, or who we have become.

The Sun goes around us all the time along it’s orbit in Space, just as we walk our paths through this journey of life. The Sun also has its obstacles to get around, just as we do along our paths, but as the Sun shines at its brightest down upon us, shows us that the Sun has worked through the obstacles so it can continue with confidence on its orbit. Just as we have to with confidence, brush away these clouds of our judgments, so we can continue to move forward along our paths with strength, while we stay focused on who we truly are,  then fix what we need to fix, so we then can have a clear head, like the deep blue sky with the Sun and no clouds. When we stay true to who we are, we than can see clearly of all that is around us, we can see clearly of all the obstacles that we need to get around, so we can walk our paths of this journey through life peacefully and in happiness, everyday for as long as we are around walking this journey.

” The dawn of a new day is the wake up of the sun and the wake up of ourselves to continue walking this journey”

” The dark clouds are full of evil that bring havoc to us, the clear blue sky will give us a big smile with plenty of happiness”

” To see clearly without the clouds we need to truly know of who we are and see the warning signs before the issues bring us into someone we truly are not”

‘ the sun revolves around us along its orbit, just as we walk our paths through this journey of life”

To look deeply into what you see

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

This picture is taken just above 3,000 feet and you can see that you are getting above the tree line, but what is even more spectacular of this picture, is that you can see more clearly of what is around you. This was in the morning and as the sun burns off these clouds, you can even see as far as the eyes can see, you can see more clearly of the mountains around you, as these we are looking at are within the Franconia Notch area. You can’t quite make out the tall peaks like Lafayette or Liberty, only because of the low lying clouds, but once they burn off, the view becomes much more popping to the eyes.

This Notch I would have to say is the most beautiful to the eyes, than all the other Notches throughout the White Mountain Region, especially where I have seen it from multiple angles and on top of multiple mountains throughout the notch and I must say, there is no bad angle, when you really look deeply into what you see.

Within this Society we all live, we totally take for granted of views like this, because we are too busy to look deeply into what we see, some may go to places like this, but do you really look at what you see, or do you just go to these places to say ” Ya… I have been there”. Places like this are totally part of God’s hard work, just so we can visit and really look deeply at what we see, a place to go and totally unwind, from our everyday nose to the grind type of living with our jobs, so we can try to make ends meet, a place to go to think and clear our minds, that gets filled with the everyday crap, a place to go when we are feeling overwhelmed, feelings that we don’t understand because of some of the Life Events that may cross our paths. We all struggle at one point or another along our paths of this journey, it is places like these that when we look deeply into what we see, we can go to think, look at all the true beauty around us, be alone with our thoughts to chat with Jesus and better understand ourselves and our thoughts, clear our minds of all the crap, get back in touch with ourselves, our true feelings and emotions, so we than can move forward better and stronger along our paths of our journey through life.

Views like this will definitely take your breathe away when you look deeply into what you see and when you let yourself feel the true feelings that is within you. in this Society it is looked at as a weakness if you let your feelings show, or even let yourself cry when you need to cry, but if you fully take advantage of places like this, we all can move forward better and stronger throughout Society and as we walk our paths of this journey through life.

” Franconia Notch of New Hampshire has a beauty so great, that you need to look deeply into what you see, to see just how great”

” Life above the tree’s is so fragile, you need to experience it, just to see how delicate life truly is”

” God worked hard to create this Planet of Earth, we just have to look deeply into what we see, to truly respect all his hard work”

” This journey through life just isn’t about gathering all the material things and having all the money, just look deeply into what you see to truly see all the true beauty around you”

The many faces of Change

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

Change is a force that you just can’t avoid, although some may tend to try and act as if there is no such thing as Change, but in order to move forward and be better and stronger along this journey of life, there has to be change, or we would simply wander through this journey, without walking confidently in all we do along our paths.

The many faces of Change with all it’s different expressions, some change is very minimal, as other change will change who you truly are, whether good or bad. One day you can change the way you cut your hair, but on the other hand a change in lifestyle can and will always be the most difficult kind of change. Within this Society most will resist change, simply because they are afraid of the unknown factor it brings to us, we all fear the unknown, but when you move forward slowly and methodically along your path, accept the change that comes, we will find that we should never fear change, as change can help us grow stronger and be better as we walk our paths along this journey through life.

Within this Society we tend to think that we know more than each other, we are better than each other, but seriously we are all very similar to each other, just that because we are so unique to each other, change that is good for one, may not be the right change for another. The unknown part of change we should not fear, we should embrace it, learn from it and our past mistakes, so we then can move forward through change, stronger and better than before.

This picture shows a side of Change that we never look at, on this Bald face of this mountain, there was once a Face that was naturally cut into these rocks, to those that live in New England this face was known as ” The Old Man of the Mountain”. This old Man kind of owned this rock face for many many years, as he was cut into the rock face through erosion, well….. a few short years ago that same erosion has taken him from this rock face. This is Nature’s way of bringing Change to us and from this Change, some because they can’t deal with the change properly, are trying to develop a way to bring the face of the old Man back to the face of the rocks. The Old man came to us to show us the beauty of the rock face, now that he is gone, we need now to get used to the bald face rocks once again and see if erosion will bless us with another figure on the face of the rocks.

True when I travel through Franconia Notch, which was the home of the Old Man of the Mountain throughout my life, I am sorrowed that when I look up he is not there, but at the same time I can embrace the change and see the true beauty on the face of these rocks. True the rocks may look bare now without the Old man, but it is exciting to look deeply on to these rocks every time I go up that way, to see if maybe there is another formation being formed by nature, for us all to relish once again as we travel through Franconia Notch.

Change is a force that affects us all, the many faces of Change may look different to us and make us fear the force of Change, but if we embrace the Change, learn from it and our past mistakes, we then can move forward through Change and be better and stronger, as we walk our paths through this journey of life.
