” Living the Dream”? What exactly does this mean? I have been hearing this a lot lately, now I know this saying has been around probably for as long as Mankind? But seriously what exactly does it mean, especially when we all have different dreams from each other.
For me living the dream would be on my own little Island with all I need and away from all the chaos, ugliness and hatred, that is within this society of today. Maybe for someone else it might be, being free to do whatever they want to do and whenever they want to do it, just maybe someones dream would be like the American Dream? Which consists of, a house, a white picket fence, a family and a pet, now what most take for granted is, they both still are a dream and we all dream differently, with no two dreams being alike.
Do dreams really come true? Well……………… The jury is still out deliberating on this one, only because everything that comes to us, is there for a reason, everything that happens to us happens for a reason, it is just that we have to find that reason, so we than can move forward on our paths of this journey, better and stronger than ever before. It’s the reason part that we take for granted and most of us, never truly understand this part, so we usually skip this this and move on to the next part of the journey, which then has us all never finding any kind of reason for anything at all. As we walk through this journey. People and things come across our paths, they all have a reason for crossing our paths and will just never…. Just happen, for instance………… Someone wins big on a lottery scratch ticket, this doesn’t happen just because you picked the right ticket, it happened for a reason and it’s up to you to find that reason, so you than can truly understand the phrase of ” Living the Dream”.
True that living the dream is a form of reality for us all with different outcomes for each of us, so now the next time someone says to you ” hey how are you doing”, you can respond in a different way with the same words of living the dream, as now you actually mean what you say, with a true reasoning for whatever dream you are living.
Most dreams usually happen at night while we are sleeping and when we wake, we usually do not remember what we dreamt of while we slept, so as we say to each other the words of, ” living the dream”, how can we actually live a dream if we are awake within reality? With a dream we either do not remember, or it is something fictitious that never really happens. I think maybe we all get so caught up within our own little worlds, with these worlds becoming our own little safe havens, that we then look at them kind of like being on our own little islands, as we try to escape all the ugliness and hatred that is around us today? We can day dream of something, but mostly of what a day dream is, we are escaping the ugliness of what is around us at the present time, either way we look at what a dream is, it is still something fictitious, so we than can escape whether for a short time, the reality of our paths we walk, through this journey of life.
” Living the dream is something we say to each other as it is only a fictitious reality and not true reality”
” Some may be fortunate enough to actually remember their nightly dreams, as most do not, a dream is still just a dream and not true reality”
” A day dream is our way of escaping our realities even just for a short time”
” Everything that comes to us and happens to us there is a reason for it, it then lies on us to find that reason so we can understand better our realities as we walk our paths through this journey of life”
