Quality of life along this journey

” Since from you shall come a Ruler, who is to Shepard my people Israel”.

Mt 2;6b

We all get so wrapped up in our Professional lives, that we forget to simply take some ” ME” time as we walk our paths through this journey of life. When we grow up and become a productive member in this Society, we become all about our jobs, we become about making money so we can survive in this society to the point, we then become lost from all the true beauty all around us. Sometimes we don’t realize of what we are doing til it is too late, then when we finally wake up to our own realities, we get depressed of the fact that so much has passed us by and we haven’t even taken the time to enjoy any of it.

Now I totally get the fact that we need to work and build up our nest eggs, but what good is that nest egg, if we don’t take the ” ME” time to enjoy it? I get the fact that we find a Company to work in and are happy where we are, so we then work as much and often as we can, to earn all that we can, all while putting aside that “ME” time for later, but sometimes that later comes too us too late, then we look back at what we missed, of which we become depressed when we look back. There are also these life events that come to us with some being, small and mild while others taking control of us. We then bury our selves in our work of our jobs, to try to move forward without feeling the pain from these events? We then become lost within ourselves without taking any kind of “ME” time at all.

We all need this all important ” ME” time, from time to time. This is how we recharge ourselves, this is how we get out and explore all the true beauty around us, while we let this beauty heal us from our troubles, heal us from the stress of our work, so we than can move forward better and stronger throughout this journey of life. Sometimes this ” ME” time simply consists of, taking to Mother Nature with some camping and hiking, even if it is just you and Mother Nature, just getting out there and healing yourself from the daily grind. Sometimes it is finding a hobby like The sport of Bowling, something you grow to love and excel in, bowling in a league or two, then showing what you can do in a tournament on the weekends. When these activities are not there and we are lost within the clouds of our judgments, from the daily grind of our jobs, we then feel incomplete as a person, while all else passes us by.

I get the fact that we need some money to enjoy the ” ME” times, yes it is okay too build up the nest eggs, but it is also important to learn to balance your time between the work and the ” ME” time, without getting lost within the corporate world. The corporate world is fine, but sometimes we let it dictate where we are going, instead of us dictating where we want to go. Within this society we walk today and the way the corporate world changes daily, we then fear that the change will leave us on the outside looking in, which we then do whatever within our jobs, to what we think as becoming valuable to the company we work, but in reality these companies really, could care less of who we are, especially if we are not producing for them, this is when we get lost within and totally forget that all important “ME” time.

We all need to recharge and clear the cob webs from our minds from time to time, find an activity that helps us do just that, so we can focus on ourselves, as we heal ourselves from the daily grind, heal ourselves from the pains that come to hurt us throughout this journey, when we don’t take the time to recharge, then we lose focus on where we are going and more importantly, where we want to go moving forward. This journey through life really isn’t that hard when we do it correctly, but that is the problem……….. we get lost within the clouds of our judgments so much that, we let everything else dictate where we are going, instead of we ourselves dictating where we want to go.

” Good quality of life is we ourselves taking the proper ” ME” time to recharge and refocus”

” The corporate world will consume us if we let it, we just have to find the right balance between “ME” time and work time”

” A nest egg is good for the latter of the journey, as long as we don’t let the latter pass us by without enjoying it”

” We all need to recharge and clear our heads from time to time, so we can move forward better and stronger”

The Shepard has come home

” Sometimes within life as we walk our paths of our journey of life, we don’t realize til it’s too late, just how much we really have touched the lives of those around us”

” Come home my Shepard, you have gathered the Herd, now it’s time to relax and relish the feeling of what hard work really is”.

Throughout our lives as we walk this journey and more so in today’s Society, we want everything now, we want people to notice who we are and what we are doing, even before we have done anything, or became anything at all, We want so bad to be noticed, that we do anything and become someone we are truly not, just so others will notice us, even if its in the wrong way.

Jesus came to us and walked his journey with us, he did so in a quiet way and like the Shepard gathering the Herd, Jesus gathered his followers one by one. Jesus wasn’t out to win any rewards like we operate today, he just very quietly spread the words of his Father, the Lord God the creator of all Mankind.

Sport’s within our Society is very much like Jesus when he came and walked his journey with us. When you play sports the right way and for the right reasons, whatever sport you play will touch your heart as well as the hearts of many, just like Jesus touched the hearts of many throughout his journey. Lasts nights induction of Brett Favre to the hall of fame within lambeau field and the way that the 70,000+ fans greeted him, shows just how special sports can be within all our lives. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place even Brett was brought to tears as the entire stadium stood as one, to show their appreciation of their Quarterback of the team the Green bay Packers. Brett played a lot of years for this team, he played hard and gave his all to the team, he even brought a Championship back to the fans, so they can celebrate Brett’s hard work with him, last night brought all that hard work back front and center, to the thousands of fans in attendance. This is what sports can truly do within our Society, just like Jesus brought us together for good, Sports can unite us as well, so we all can walk our paths along this journey through life in peace and become stronger and better from one Society to another.

Respect is never just handed to us, we have to go out and earn the respect, by doing whatever we do in the right way, when we cheat to try to get the respect and when we think respect should just be given to us, true respect will never be awarded to us.  True respect takes a lot of hard work and dedication to whatever you do, without these two respect you will never have earned. Some of the sports players think that because they are playing for a lot of money, that we all should respect them always? I got news for you, true respect does not work that way. Real sports stars like Brett Favre, Ray Bourque, Bobby Orr, Bill Russell, or Micheal Jordon to name a few, received the respect for the sport they played after they retired, cause they were to busy working their tail off and giving 100% to the teams in which they played. Sports can and will be when done in the right way, a way to unite together large quantities of people to show true respect to each other, Jesus when he came to us didn’t ask to be respected by any of us, he earned that respect with his actions and his teachings to all of us. With this feeling of respect also comes the knowing that, you have become a Shepard to many, by bringing together many for the reason of good towards all and like the Shepard at the end of the day, now you to can relax truly, knowing that your job is done. There is no better feeling we will ever feel, than earning the respect of many, as we all walk our paths along our journey of life.

” Sports when played for the right reasons, will always unite many, but when done for the wrong reasons will bring great pain and hatred to all”

” The job of the Shepard wasn’t a job where glory was around you, but you did the job anyways going unannounced to those around you, but in the end you earned much respect from all those around you”
