To Truly be who you are……

robin

Robin Williams was truly a special Person, he made us all laugh and smile through the years. From his stand up comedy, to his movie Acting whether serious or funny roles, We were all blessed to experience a great man, who we all admired and liked.

While Robin Williams was making us all smile through the years, he was hurting greatly deep inside himself, the Depression he was suffering from, was basically eating him from the inside out. Depression is a Mental Illness, that we need to take care of, as there are more than we care to acknowledge, that suffer this Dreadful Disease.

This Depression can attack anyone and it does not discriminate, it doesn’t care if you are filthy rich, or if you live on the streets and Homeless. A lot of our Homeless People are Homeless because of either, Society has forced them to the streets, or they suffer a Mental Illness that keeps them from walking their paths of this journey through life properly. Our Government just to make their budgets, will cut certain things to save a buck, one of those things is, Mental Illness, leaving many People to fend for themselves, with no where to turn when they need a Helping hand, so they then take to the streets and walk a very troubling journey throughout their lives.

Pauley  Perrette……AKA Abby sciuto the big star of the #1 show NCIS, is a big Advocate for the Homeless and also reaching out to help them by being their voice. Back a few months ago, she was viciously attacked by a Homeless man at knife point, he said he would kill here, so Miss Perrette went along with him and lied there on the ground in complete Fear of her life. This Man was later found and is now in jail, but Pauley was hurting deeply inside from this attack and only now she is speaking out from it. She is in a much better space now, with the help she reached out for. Unfortunately in this Society not all of us have someone to reach out to at our time of need,  so they then walk their journey’s while they hurt deeply inside, “this Depression does not discriminate”, but we throughout this Society do and is why there are many who hurt deeply inside. Pauly is truly a special Person like Robin Williams, whether in the Television show acting, or in life walking her journey. I just read an article of her finally speaking out after her attack and talking of her attacker. Pauley said that she cried real tears and totally forgives her attacker, now if this isn’t true Empathy, than someone clue me in as to what is.

Now if we all were in touch of our true Empathy like Pauley is, then just maybe this Society would be a much better Society for us all to walk our paths of our journey through life. Sometimes in life we come across great People and two of those great People are, Robin Williams and Pauley Perrette.

” True Empathy is within us all we just have to feel it, then acknowledge it, so we can then share it with all those around”

” Homelessness is a much bigger problem than we truly acknowledge it is, we all have to work together in first acknowledging it, then taking action to fix the problem forever”

The Globes…The Grammy’s…TheOscar’s…oh my!!!

Looks like this Duck is staring and Quacking up at all of us throughout Mankind, simply because we pay more attention to Drama and Fantasy, than we do towards actually walking our paths through this journey in reality and just being who we truly are.

There are a lot of great movies out there as well as TV shows, you also need people to act a part in order to make them great and just like in life, you do need to reward a job well done, when the person went above and beyond expectations, so others can relax and sit back to enjoy the show, but when the Media pays more attention to the red carpet and the entrances these Actors make, or what they are wearing, just to create much unneeded Drama. The Media does this so the rest of us will live within Fantasy, thinking ” why can’t that be me” and as we do this, then the Media can simply control us, cause we don’t know truly of who we are.

Most of these gowns and tuxedos really belong to the person who created them, as the Actor’s and Actresses are paid to model them along the red carpet through fantasy world. Then you have the Media criticizing all the apparel, just to simply create more unwanted Drama of the event. Then you have certain ones within Hollywood, that will pull out all the stops, to make the grandest entrance that they possibly can, all this just to be within Fantasy World for one night, instead of truly recognizing someone for a job well done.

There are a lot more everyday Folk that work much harder than those within Hollywood, but yet these Folk never receive any award, let alone become noticed in the way of an Actor/Actress. These Folk never ask for anything, but yet still get caught up in the Drama of the red carpet, so they can escape their realities for one night. It is totally okay to escape reality from time to time, so we can destress and unwind, it is when we can’t figure out the difference between the two, that we may portray to others, a side that isn’t truly who we really are.

I get the fact that it is good to escape our realities for a short time, take time to unwind and clear our minds of the everyday mumbo jumbo……..so we don’t become sick from stress, or having stress control who we truly are. Although for me I would go deep in the Wilderness with my pack and my tent, making a camp fire while enjoying the sounds of Nature all around me, as I feel all the stress leave my body, leaving me totally relaxed with no desire to get up and walk around.

We all have our escapes and places for which we go to in order to unwind and relieve ourselves of the daily stress, some like the outdoors, while others take to a movie theater to get lost within the fantasy coming out of the big screen, there is no wrong way if the daily stress simply melts away, like Winter’s ice on a hot day. We all walk our own paths along this journey through life, these paths are our reality, the fantasy comes from inside our heads and what we make of any situation.

” Life is like a jar of Maraschino cherries, when the jar becomes broken, OH!!! What a mess it becomes”

” Life is like the great outdoors when we stay focused and relaxed, we hear all the birds around us singing their happy tunes”

” Life is like the light on our front porch, we leave it on to light our way back home and we can shut or turn it on when needed to”

” Life is reality, as Fantasy is made up to whatever we want to make it”

OH!!!! What a tangled web we weave

” OH!!! What a tangled web we weave, throughout this journey of life we all embark on”

Life sometimes isn’t all green pastures and smooth meadows, life will throw us curve balls, with a lot of rough terrain, that leads us to a lot of gasping for air with no place to catch out breathes. We all want to walk a path layered with Rose pedals and Gold, be pampered at every step we take, while others serve to our every needs. This kind of stuff only happens in Fairy tales and Fantasy, even when we work hard to get what we want, we still have to keep working hard to maintain everything we have. There is nothing in life that comes easy as much as we may think, sometimes there may be a path that has been cleared for us to walk, we then take everything for granted and  expect it to be like this all the time? We may get lucky at times and wander into a green pasture with a smoother meadow, that’s when we get complacent and fall into a comfortable rut, then have no idea of how to get out of it.

When we do find that green pasture and smooth meadow, it never lasts as when we come to the end of the path, we then have to blaze another path for which to walk, so we then can find another green pasture and smooth meadow once again. The journey of life is like that and it keeps evolving around us, which we need to evolve with it or simply get left behind, with no sense of direction of which way to go. When we get left behind and lost in our own little world, than all the paths we see look like rough terrain to walk, so we then stop walking and explore no more of what is around us.

Life is not for the tired or weary, it takes a lot of work to clear a path of your liking, then maintain that path daily like the green pasture and smooth meadow in our thoughts and dreams. While we are young and learning of this journey through life, is where it all starts for each of us to find our green pasture and smooth meadow. When we are taught more wrongs than rights and are taught of the ugly word Hate, over the beautiful word of love, now you will never see any green pastures and never mind the smooth meadows. Okay…………. Maybe we can get to the green pastures and smooth meadows eventually, but not without willing to work very hard at digging ourselves out from the complacency and the rut we put ourselves into.

When we carve out our paths along this journey of life correctly, is when the really hard work ends and the everyday work of, maintaining what we have begins. Life isn’t always going to be lined with Gold, with Rose pedals to comfort our feet as we walk our paths, sometimes the paths of life will look like this picture, with rough terrain everywhere we walk. When we walk our paths through this journey of life correctly, then we all can walk in peace, as we smile with true happiness always.

” The green pastures aren’t just for the Cows to graze, it is for us to rest from the rough terrain of the paths through the journey of life”

” When we walk our paths while thinking to much of the Fairy Tales, we then take for granted all that is around us”

” To carve out any path takes a lot of hard work, to maintain the path takes a bit less work, so we can see clearly of where we are going and we can be at peace and happiness always”

The Appalachian Trail………… A trail of serenity and peace.

The Appalachian trail covers just over 2,100 miles, from Mount Katahdin in Maine, to Springer Mountain in Georgia. Thousands of Hiker’s take to this trail as only a few hundred actually finish the entire trail. This has been a dream of mine to hike the entire trail, hopefully one day before my body says other wise I can accomplish this dream. You definitely need to be in top physical condition, as this trail will test you in many ways and the weather you encounter along your trek, well lets just say…….. it will more than test you, it will show just how determined and motivated you actually are in finishing this trail.

Most people that take to this trail, have had some sort of a major life event happen to them and this is how they cope and search for their true selves. Some may be entering in what is known as mid life crisis, they get laid off from a job they worked hard and long at, they realize they don’t really know what they want, so they take to this trail to find themselves within the peace and serenity that is around them along this trail. You meet others that have embarked on the same journey and you hike together for a short time and become friends with them, you chat with each other as the quietness of this trail, will test you yet once again.

When hiking this trail you don’t want to carry too much, as the extra weight will slow your pace and possibly be reason enough to not finish the trail? You carry what you need for a few days and when you get too certain sections of the trail, you then stay a night at some hiker cabins, that are taken care of by others who have hiked this trail and you can be shuttled to town and get your parcel that replenishes your carrying supplies, these parcels are set up before you start hiking and are at post offices waiting for you at your arrival. There are other good Samaritans that set up in places along the trail, in areas that you come down from one mountain and up the next with a crossroad that you cross over, these kind people are usually Boy Scout Troops, or others that just offer hikers, soup or other kinds of comfort foods. You meet a lot of kind Hearted people that are friendly and neighborly, this makes you realize that yes there are other people that actually care for the well being of others.

True the Appalachian trail is a lot of hard work and effort on your part as you walk this trail, but when you take it one step at a time, set a smooth pace that is comfortable for you, you find it is not work at all and you actually enjoy your time in the outdoors, enjoy seeing all that is around you, including the wildlife you may encounter along your journey of the Appalachian trail.

While you are enjoying your time on the trail, enjoying all that is around you, you are also learning better of who you are, learning better of just what you can accomplish when you set your mind to it, You are also learning that there is so much more to life, then you thought when you were back in the comfort of your home and within your comfort zone. When we get into our comfort zones, we are so afraid to step outside of the zone, cause we don’t know whats out there and we are also afraid to try new things as we don’t want the mistakes of the unknown to disrupt what we are doing, so we then never venture out of the zone and never try something in order to find if we like it or not.

The Appalachian trail is more than just a trail when you look deeply into the trail, most will just see it as too much work to embark in such a long walk, but when you look deeply into the trail, you will learn just how to look deeply into yourself, so you can truly find who you really are and what you can truly accomplish when you set your mind to it. Yes this trail will test you in many ways, you don’t need to study for these test, just jump in head to toe with excitement to learn of everything around you including you yourself, as you walk your path along this journey through life.

” The Appalachian trail is not just there to hike in sections for the beauty of the trail, it is there to complete the trail from start to finish, seeing all the beauty around you, including you yourself”

” Just over 2,100 miles from start to finish on this trail, it is not the miles you walk, but how you walk the miles that help you better understand life and yourself within”

” Peace and serenity is what we all need at one point or another along this journey of life, the Appalachian trail offers that for whoever wants to embark on the journey”
