” Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me, for whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it, what profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life?”
Matthew 16:24-26
Jesus Christ was willing to suffer and die for the salvation of the world. he overcame his fear for the cross, as he formed a bond between his father and we the people down here. There is so much throughout this journey for us to fear, there are so many crosses for us to fear, that if we never keep moving forward, then this journey will end, with us having many regrets, for an incomplete journey.
Now when Peter denied Jesus three times, that to was a message for us to see, As for us to truly follow Jesus, we need to deny ourselves, meaning that all our selfishness needs to be replaced with the love for all, and our sins needs to be forgave, for us to do this today is one of the crosses we fear the most, and will be the sacrifice that brings us the most hurt, as now we can be united with him and hop onto the path of righteousness, bringing us all to the resurrection and new life.
Fear can paralyze us from feeling anything with no movment. As Jesus said, ” take up your cross and follow me”, He truly meant, get out of that chair, pick up your cross, keep thy faith, as I steer you onto the right path, bringing you eternal life even in death. Very true that some will be stuck within the walls of Purgurtory, this is the place that Jesus wants you to repent for all your sins, no matter of who you are. Jesus did the same toward Peter as he showed his rebuke, but it was rebuke out of love and we all now that Peter did become the first Pope of the church, showing that, yes we can not see eye to eye with Jesus, but at the end of the day, we can still unite in faith, to overcome all the fear’s, then be rewarded with eternal life, into the kingdom of God full of peace, love and joy.
Within this picture, can you see it? You may not see at first glance, but with the true faith in Jesus Christ, he is within the light of the clouds above, looking down on us all, to guide us to the path of righteousness. Then as we acknowledge him within us, his blood will flow through our veins and warm our hearts with his love, so we then can warm each other with that love, as we unite as one, within the beauty of the kingdom, that our father in heaven created for us all to enjoy. The kingdom of God is great, it is much bigger than you think, but when we are in our selfish ways, we will never experience the true beauty of this kingdom.
We all want to be excepted in all we do, but when the fear of everything becomes so great, we then become excepted in the wrong things, we become someone we truly are not just to be excepted, then we lose touch of any kind of faith, and even worse, we lose touch with Jesus Christ our savior, the one who sacrificed himself, for the good of us all. This still does not mean all is lost, because Jesus has never waivered in his faith of any one of us, no matter of who you are, and by Jesus giving up his human life, truly shows his love for us all so we all could live.
Sometimes we let our Fears dictate how we walk our paths of this journey, when we do this is when drift further from the house of the Lord and Jesus Christ. We not only lose the faith in Jesus Christ, we lose the faith in ourselves as well, which then puts us into this selfish being, that is not truly of who we are. While we are being selfish and put distance from others around us, we now lose touch with everything around us, and then make things up as we go, then keep telling ourselves this is real so many times, that now it becomes real in our selfish world, as we fear anything that may come to help us, escape this fake world we have built. We fear so much of the fears of this journey, that it will stop us from truly walking this journey, as it really should be walked.
There is nothing to fear except fear itself, the problem is then, we let the fear dictate and control who we truly are, as we now make up something that is not real, just to escape the power of the fear, instead of facing it head on, to eliminate it once and for all. With all that is going on around us and forcing this fear upon us all, we would rather hide in plain sight of each other, just to keep the fear at bay from us. This is exactly what Jesus did when he picked up the cross, he faced his fear for the good of us all, so we all can learn from him and move forward along this journey, to be better and stronger with each step we walk. We to can pick up the cross of our fears, face them head on, as Jesus will always be there with faith, to bring the light of salvation to us all, with eternal life for all those who have faith and belief in him, as well as thyself.
We have become so Ass backwards today, we think that the more friends we have the better we are? This has us all losing sight of any kind of solitude that we need to truly heal moving forward. We think that the more followers we have on social media, the stronger we are? Leading us all to becoming more divided from one another. You just can not have a true friend from a follower especially when you have never met that follower. Jesus will never come to us as a friend request, only because he is part of us and deep within us, but unless you truly acknowledge him, then you will never truly feel his blood flowing through your veins, and warming your heart with his love. This is exactly why we have this Identity crisis today, there are so many that have lost who they truly are, as now they try becoming something they are not? The only thing that will come from this is, we now bring more ugliness and hatred to each other, instead of sharing the true love of Jesus Christ, that warms us all deeply within. So let’s embrace all the fears, pick up all the crosses as Jesus did, so we all can get back to who we truly are, letting Jesus know that he didn’t die in vein, that we do have his faith and belief, as well as the faith and belief in ourselves, as now we move forward away from our selfish acts, to unite with all around us, so we can look deeply into the horizon and truly see Jesus, leading us all toward the light of salvation, and into eternal life when this journey comes to a close for us all.
” look deeply into the horizon and truly see Jesus, leading us all toward the light of salvation, and into eternal life when this journey comes to a close for us all”.
” There is nothing to fear except fear itself, the problem is then, we let the fear dictate and control who we truly are, as we now make up something that is not real, just to escape the power of the fear, instead of facing it head on, to eliminate it once and for all”.
