Rest for the Weary

” Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest ‘

Matthew 11:28

Within this fast paced society of today, that is driven by greed and self righteousness, we do become very weary daily, how do you rest or re-charge your body? For some maybe load up on coffee for plenty of caffeine, maybe a mid day power nap? Or maybe even a weekend away? But these things are simply a temporary fix that passes quickly and the weariness returns, as the faith in Jesus Christ is what gives us the true rest deep within our souls, we just need to come to him, so we than can get the true rest our body needs.

With our daily routines comes frustration and chaos within the world around us as well, When we don’t get what we want, we become frustrated, when our jobs push us to our brink, we then become very weary which brings a whole host of chaos to our lives, when we become so tired from the stress, the chaos and the work from the push, we then will enter into burnout and if we do not handle the burnout correctly, we then will become bitter, have a wide variety of health problems, which then brings us much pain and hurt. Within the fast paced society we forget to truly heal ourselves in mind, body and soul, because we get so caught up in the chaos and our minds get lost within the clouds of our judgments, that we forget to take the time for ourselves, to regain the faith in ourselves and Jesus Christ. When we heal properly and when we get the proper rest we need, then not only can we walk freely of our paths on this journey of life, but we can also walk together with each other, without bringing hatred, chaos or ugliness to all that is around us.

We all will walk our own paths but the journey is the same, throughout this journey there will be many events that will tesgt us, there will be many who may cross our paths that will bring us much pain and hurt, as well as many that will come to us to help us when we need help the most, the problem then becomes we ourselves and when we do not be truthful to ourselves, how then can we be truthful with each other? The bigger picture of this is, not being truthful with ourselves, we then can never be truthful with Jesus Christ, which then becomes the number one reason why, we stop going within the house of God, to not just pray, but to hide deep within ourselves and not acknowledge of who we truly are. When we all come together in unity while being truthful of ourselves, with the faith of ourselves and Jesus Christ, then the love within our hearts will shine at it’s brightest, as all the hatred and ugliness disappears from all around us.

Rest is key for us all and not just resting from the work we put in from our jobs, but the rest that will help us heal from all our troubles, the rest that gives us spiritual healing deep within our soul. Getting out deep within Mother Nature and within her peace and serenity, will help us get the true rest we need, so we can heal within our mind, body and soul, from all that troubles us, so we than can move forward better and stronger. Some may want to vacation in an exotic place, with many others around and become stressed as they try to fit in everything in a short period of time, but thats not true rest, as it does nothing but add to the already tension within us. Step outside, step out deep within the woods of nature, listen to the peace and the sounds of nature, the birds singing their songs, the wind passing through the leaves of the tree, the water slapping against the shoreline, even a woodpecker pecking away at the tree. When you get out within Mother Nature and totally relax, you can feel the stress melt away from your body, kind of like a heavy weight being lifted off of your shoulders, spend a week out there and now you will recieve the proper healing within your mind, body and soul, plus you will also will trust yourself and while this takes place, learn to trust in Jesus Christ once again, as he led you to this special place, so you can truly heal as he wants you to. This is the biggest problem in this fast paced society, we don’t trust as we once did for whatever reason? We then hide deep within ourselves as we think we are protecting ourselves from any or further harm, but as the clouds then over come our judgments, we lose sight of who we truly are as we keep the foot on the gas and speed up further the pace throughout this journey, what do not realize is that while we bury deeper of who we truly are, our trust of each other gets buried as well. So as we move forward throughout this journey, we then hurt deeply each other and never show any love or empathy of each other. All this is on us the people of this society and all this can change if only we the people change our ways moving forward, as we walk our paths through this journey of life.

” Rest for the weary isn’t just falling asleep, it’s the healing of the mind, body and soul”

” The power of mother nature can change everything within it, just simply trust in her and the healing will begin”

The sun still shines even through the clouds

“Help me, Lord, not to allow the clouds of the day prevent me from seeking your face. May I, like Moses, be bold enough to approach the thick darkness if that is where your presence is found”

Exodus 20:21

” They looked… and behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud”

Exodus 16:10

We all walk a path through this journey of life, each of us as we walk our paths will experience the darkness of the clouds from time to time and some may struggle, while others simply flow through the clouds. The clouds at times are really thick and dark, as the light may seem like it is not passing through them? But as we tend to fear the darkness, we over look the fact that Jesus is the light and he is seeing us through the thick dark clouds to watch over us as we try to keep moving forward in the darkness. Jesus will send us signs through the darkness, but it is up to us to see these signs, no matter how dark or how thick the clouds may seem.

Sometimes throughout this journey we all get discouraged, we all will have these life events that may derail us, we all will stumble, trip and fall along our paths and this will bring us much pain and hurt, the pain and hurt will leave scars, yes, but those scars do not have to dictate, how we then move forward throughout the rest of our journey’s. The scars are there to remind us what was? So we than can move forward with confidence to be better and stronger, but unfortunatly, we don’t let the scars heal properly and we then continue to struggle, as we then become someone for who we truly are not.

Even Jesus experienced the darkness within the clouds, as Satan himself came to him and tempted him to come to the side of the darkness, we to get tempted in many ways, but unlike Jesus with his confidence and the light of his father, we get caught up within the thick dark clouds, we let the fear of the dark overwhelm us, and we then let the power of temptation suck us into it’s grip, as the claws dig in never letting us go. The darkness may be scary, yes, but if we truly keep the faith in ourselves and the faith in Jesus Christ our saviour, then there will always be hope each and every day as we walk our paths through this journey of life. It is the faith and the hope that guide us through the darkness, regardless of how thick or how dark the clouds may be, it is the faith and the hope that keep us from getting to deep within the fear of the darkness. Jesus had that faith in his father and himself, which then gave him the hope to keep moving forward, as he then shared his love with us all, showing us of how to walk our paths and leading us to the path of righteousness, that is full of the light of God, above all the clouds and away from the darkness and the fear. Know matter how thick the clouds, no matter how dark the clouds may look with no light streaming through them, the fear will then come to us in order to control us into becoming someone who we truly are not, thats where the confidence in ourselves comes in and helps us keep the faith, so the hope everyday will always help heal the scars, that will keep us better and stronger, throughout this journey of life, as we walk our paths with as little pain and hurt as we can.

” Temptation is the root to all the evil as it will have us become someone for who we are not”

” Pain and hurt will bring us discouragment, but faith and hope will lead us to the light and peace”

Faith in the journey, will give you hope moving forward.

” He said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied”.

Mt 14:19c-20

It has been said that…… ” when life gives you lemons make lemonade”, well too many lemons and you will pucker in distaste, too much sugar and now you get a sweet tooth, but when all is mixed correctly, now you can drink and enjoy. This journey through life is kind of like the lemonade, true life will throw you many curve balls, life will have it’s ugliness and bumps that will leave scars and bruises, but when you walk it correctly the journey will have many paths for you to be within peace and happiness always.

Jesus Christ came to us and walked this journey here with us, he taught us many things as he shared the love in his heart with each of us, He sacrificed himself, was beaten and died on the cross for each of us, as his love for every one of us never died, his love lives within all our hearts always and forever. Jesus Christ our Savior walked this journey and lead us from temptation, to the light of the path of righteousness, he showed us that when we walk this journey correctly, we to can have eternal life as he did, even after he died at the cross for each and every one of us. Tjhe love of Jesus Christ will never die, it will always be there for us, we just have to keep complete faith in him as well as ourselves, so we can have the hope moving forward along this journey of life.

We of this society also walk a path through this journey of life, but unfortunatly somewhere along the journey we lost our way into the house of God, we become afraid to walk through the doors of the house and because of that and over time, our hearts have become cold and the warmth of Jesus’s love has been buried deep within our souls. Yes the love is still there and will never leave us, we just have to acknowledge it and it will come back to us and welcome us with open arms. This society and because we have strayed away from Jesus , has brought us deeply into the darkness of Satan, with much ugliness and hatred all around, has shown us that, when we give into temptation, we can become overwhelmed and suffer pain so deep, that the hurt will bury the love deeper, just so we can try to move forward along our paths, but as we walk our paths the pain is always there unless we address it correctly, so it can leave us healthy and strong, as our hearts then get refilled with the warmth of Jesus Christ.

We the people with our actions are all a fault for not visiting the house of God and until we accept our own accountability for that, the hatred and the ugliness will never leave us and we may truly never feel the warmth of the love of Jesus within our hearts, as our paths of this journey becomes more bumpy with more chances of bruising us even deeper, will keep us from the peace and happiness and as the light within the path of righteousness stays dark, keeping us deep with the darkness of Satan, and within his power and control that leads us into nothing but destruction. At the last supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples, he broke the bread saying, ” this is my body to be given up to you”, then passed the wine saying, ” this is my blood”, when you visit the house of God and accept the bread and wine within you, this is the love of Jesus that fills your heart and soul, so you then can spread this love with each other, so we all can walk our paths through this journey of life in peace and happiness always, with the love of Jesus within us we then can move forward out of the darkness and into the light of the path of righteousness as we saw it, when Jesus had showed it to us, then with the true faith in Jesus as well as ourselves, we then can have the hope to move forward in strength and peace always.

” The road may be dirt and the mountain before us may look tall, but with the love of Jesus within us nothing will keep us from being of truly who we are”

” Sometimes we have to get through the darkness in order to truly see the light”
