The Patriot way……I am a Patriot

” They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, they prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh  ”

Mt 2: 10 11

To all the fans of the New England Patriots, the Eagle has landed. Now this season compared to all the other seasons of the last twenty years was a very interesting season, to say the least. The biggest question to this team going into what is going to be a very interesting offseason is, should Tom Brady retire or leave what has become his home for another team and not just another team, but a team that has much more uncertainty then this team of the 2019 Patriots. Tom’s legacy is the Patriots and to go to another team, could very much damage that legacy moving forward. Now some of your armchair Quarterbacks who think they know the game better than Tom or even Bill, are going to say whatever they may about Tom and this team, they will even argue that Tom has lost the zip on his throwing of the football, but from what I saw after yesterdays game, Tom can still zip that ball with authority and into tight spaces where only his receivers can get it. The Receivers are whats to be really looked at seriously, the only one he has and he trusts is Edleman and when the opponent knows this and takes Jules out of the game, you now have a Patriot offense that becomes very predictable and easy to zone in on. Now yes Tom has made many no-name Receivers into a household name within the NFL in the past, so one will argue that he can not and should retire? If you really look at the game within the game as Tom and Bill do every day, the biggest thing with turning a nobody Receiver into a star is, if you do not trust the one that is the Receiver to do his job then you really can not be as effective as you were in the past. Trust no matter what sport you are playing, in conjunction with having guys on the team that can and will do their job, is the biggest reason why the Patriots have six Championships and some franchises struggling to even make the playoffs.

Now there will be a lot of your drama queen sports media types and your Monday Quarterback types that will say the Dynasty is over? On the contrary, as long as you have Tom Brady and Bill Bellichek, the Dynasty continues just with a much different supporting cast around those two. Tom has made New England his home and Robert Kraft looks at Tom as his adopted son, I find it very hard to see Tom leaving this organization he has worked so hard to help build. It is kind of like we as Individuals being born into a family, we grow within this family and help build a strong bond and a foundation, so to just up and leave that really isn’t that easy. True there will be struggles as the good times never last, but when the bad times come it is very easy to just walk away, but if you want to be better and stronger moving forward, you have to fight through the bad times, fight through the struggles, which not only makes you better and stronger but also makes your team better and stronger moving forward. Then there is the issue of Josh McDaniels, this guy is a great Offensive Coordinator and my opinion of this is when you are great at something you keep doing what you are great at as you receive the Respect of your Peers, Josh left for the Broncos and became a Head Coach and that didn’t work out too good, I say he stays here with Tom and Bill to help build this team with some very different supporting cast members and who knows? Bill, as well as Tom, will retire someday, then you can take the respect you earned and excel as the next coach of the New England Patriots.

Now some of your armchair Quarterbacks will say that football is a game and very different then this journey through life, I say very different as the game of football as well as other team sports only help you grow stronger as you walk your path through this journey. When you are an individual on a team this will make the game very hard for you, just as when you are an Individual walking this journey with no one around you, makes for a very difficult journey with many struggles. Just look at the walls within Washington DC with our so-called leaders, you have two teams that are supposed to be working together for the good of the people in the Democrats and the Republicans, but instead, right now you have a bunch of Individuals who are doing nothing but argue with each other and not doing their jobs. So true you can say two very different ideologies, but in reality, they are very much the same and when you have common sense, you can clearly see just how similar they are. Just as you have a team coming together showing trust of each other and doing their jobs to win a Championship and when you have a Government coming together through trust and unity, now you can have a society coming together in unity instead of being divided with much ugliness and hatred at every turn. Team sports and the journey of life are so similar, but if you never look deeply at what you see, then maybe you should look in the mirror as maybe you have become part of the problem, instead of being part of the solution for each one of us to become better and stronger, as we all walk a path through this journey of life.

” The Patriot way maybe for a team in the NFL, but to be a Patriot of a country you have to do it similar as all the other Patriots by making it the countries way”

” I know we all have our own opinions but we also all have our own Butt holes as well”

” Armchair Quarterbacks and the sports media all have one thing in common,  they both like to create their own drama and bring it to all of us, making them all Drama Queens”
