The water’s are calm now, but back over 70 years ago, we owe a huge debt to the men and woman, who fought the good fight, with many not making it past that day. These men and woman should never be forgotten, as if it weren’t for them, we of this Society may not be free to roam as we do today? This country just might of been a bit different today if it wasn’t for these brave hero’s of that time. These men and woman didn’t ask for this fight, but yet they showed up and fought the good fight, simply because it was the right thing to do, for all who walk a path through this journey of life, on the soil of the great country called, the United States of America.
The men and woman of our Armed Services sign up and become trained to help keep America great, they may not receive big money unlike those within the world of sports today, but these men and woman most definitely earned every penny they earn. The actions of our men and woman of the military goes without saying, as the actions of some of the men and woman within the world of sports………….. Well let’s just say, could be a bit more respectful for the ones who fought the good fight, so they can earn the big bucks, playing a game that they love. These men and woman of our Armed services just do not get enough respect for what they do, or have done, some go off away from their families for long stretches of time and some either don’t make it back, or come back back within a casket, or even worse……….. Missing parts of their bodies. While those within the world of sports cry over a hang nail, or whine over an official making a bad call, really!!! We of this Society are to blame for this, simply because we have lost our way along this journey and have mislabeled our priorities, from what we think is important, to what should be important.
We of this Society have changed so much compared to the Society back some 70+ years and a lot of ways, we have changed for the worse, taking big steps backwards, instead of moving forward, like those of our military’s past, present and future. The most political of all the wars……… Vietnam, these men and woman went and fought the good fight, even though they may not have agreed with the decisions of them being there, but yet still fought bravely, then they came back to American soil and are treated like low class citizens and some even being homeless, with no place to sleep or eat like those of us today within our homes, only shows just how screwed up we have become, while we live our lives today.
These men and woman of our military and how they get trained, are so disciplined, they think nothing of going to battle, so we can be free to roam and live our exotic lifestyles, we owe them a great deal of gratitude, but how do we pay them back? By some within the world of sports taking a knee, instead of standing tall and proud, showing great respect for them, as our countries National Anthem is being played before each sporting event. Those within the the world of sports just might not be playing for the big money that they get, if it wasn’t for these brave men and woman, these are the real Hero’s and not, the ones within the world of sports.
Respect is a two way street and there is no sign that reads ” one way” on any of the streets of Respect, those within our military don’t join to get our Respect, but with their actions they earn our Respect in many ways. While those within the world of sports think that they deserve our Respect, even without doing a dam thing, or worse, doing things that are just plain and simply stupid and uncalled for. Those within the world of sports think, that because they get paid big bucks, that they are better than the rest of us? They think that because of their big money, they can use their playing fields as a platform to Preach to the rest of us? I got a news flash for all you within the sports world, you are an employee of the game you play, just like the rest of us are an employee of the company for which we work our jobs. While you are an employee you have to abide by the rules and regulations of that company, we all have to answer to somebody and there is no other way around it. Now you can have your opinion yes, we all have our opinions, but never forget that we all have the right to our opinions and no one can take that from us, no matter of who you are.
Those within the world of sports think that it is their right to go visit the President after they have won a championship in the sport they play? I have another news flash for you, going to visit the President is not your right, it is a privilege and an Honor, if you think other wise, then you need to rethink your way of thinking. Now you within the sports world may not like the President for whatever reason, just as many of us have our likes and dislikes, but to disrespect a sitting President, is just as bad as, disrespecting our men and woman of our armed services, as you take a knee, during the playing of this countries national Anthem, maybe we all within this country should boycott the sport you play, so you then lose that big paycheck, leaving you with no platform for which to speak? We all walk a path through this journey of life, when we walk it correctly without stepping upon another’s shine, this journey will reward us with great things, it will bring us each much respect even when we don’t go looking for it, but when we preach to other’s and demand their respect, now your looking at a journey that becomes very rough, that can bring much pain and hurt, for which will affect us all and keep us from enjoying true peace and happiness throughout the journey.
” America’s military are the real true Hero’s within this country and should have all our Respect for what they do for us”
” The water is calm compared to the day of 6/6/1944, but these men and woman of this day have earned our Respect now and forever”
” Sports and politics do not mix, now get back to playing the game that you get paid greatly to play”
” Those within our military may not get paid big money for what they do, but their actions get rewarded with our respect”
