Within this Society we all live today and the Society before Jesus came and walked his journey with us, Greed is all around us, it has consumed the fiber of our being, making us all hurt with real pain and completely lost our true happiness. I get the fact that we need money to pay our Bills, pay for the food we put on our tables, put gas in the car, so we can go to work to further pay for these items, but paying for all the material things, the house in the Hampton’s or where ever that second house may be? Now you are getting into a force that drives us for all the wrong reasons, as we walk our paths through this journey of life.
If we could only learn to do more with less, just maybe the true happiness will return to all our lives. We get so engulfed with the notion that we need to keep up with the Jones sort of speak, that we totally forget just how to live our lives in true happiness. We then think that this journey of life is nothing but a game, that has us competing with each other, then we try to accumulate more material things than those around us. Material things are just that ” Material” and we can’t take them with us, when this journey comes to a close. When we tackle too much just to try to accumulate more material things, it leads us to a life that never lets us stop and enjoy what is around us, we get so caught up with accumulating that we then get sick through stress with what could of been avoided, if only we learned to relax and take the time to enjoy. I get the fact we work hard and want to have all the toys, showing of our hard work, but what good are the toys, when this journey comes to a close? There are some like myself, that a hike through the mountains, or a camping adventure deep within the Wilderness, will bring true happiness that will soothe the soul and when the soul is relaxed and happy, we to will be relaxed and happy, some may not be able to grasp the idea of ” do more with less”, but when you do have more, now you stress over what to bring, so you now can’t totally enjoy all that is around you.
To live a life like the cabin in this picture may seem like the simple life, but it is a lot harder than any of our lifestyles today. First glance at the picture, this cabin looks simple right? Wrong cause you first had to build it with your own hands with what was around you, there may not be the material items within it, but yet the inside is so cozy, that you are more comfortable in it, than any million dollar Mansion. You see two boats near the water, so easy to put them in and paddle away right? Sorry you first need to finish the daily chores, then you can go out in the boats, but don’t forget to come back with the nightly supper. There is always something to keep you busy within the lifestyle of the simple life, but within the lifestyle of collecting all the material things, life than becomes boring, that has us wandering through life, instead of walking our paths in happiness, through this peaceful journey of life.
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, do you think they are truly happy behind closed doors? Just look at the late Robin Williams, he was a great man that entertained us and made us laugh, but behind closed doors he was so sad, that the sadness brought great pain to his inner self. The Rich and Famous have these luxurious homes with all the toys, just to look on the outside as being happy, but it is whats on the inside that matters most. You can look on the outside to us all as being happy, but the sadness you feel inside, brings great pain to yourself, eventually the sadness and pain will become so great, that one day you will cave to them and now all these material things mean nothing, as you spend all your time in fixing yourself, to get back the true happiness that you lost. We all walk a path through this journey of life, it is not about accumulating the most material things, as it is totally about the quality of time you spend, being truly happy, til one day when the journey comes to a close, which then you can take the happiness with you, but not the material things.
