The Boston Sports theme……….

Today in the Boston sports scene this day of April 15th 2015, had two huge stories happen, pretty much at almost the same time. Arron Hernandez was convicted of murder in the 1st degree and Peter Chiarelli the general manager of the Boston Bruins was fired from the team.

Arron Hernandez was a gifted athlete and could excel in the sport of football and as we all seen from him on the field, his actions proved he was gifted and could play, the team he played for also seen his gift and awarded him 40 million to play for them, Arron came from nothing and transformed into a very wealthy Individual, who had the world in the palm of his hands and now all has been taken from him, with zero to show for his gift and talent.

The guilty verdict of Arron Hernandez, when you look deeply into the reality of the situation, proves just how troubled a lot of Individuals are within this Society we all live. When you look deeply into Arron’s eyes at the time the verdict was read, you can clearly see he has issues which he buried his true feelings and emotions, as well as his true empathy of himself and those around him. Arron was with out a doubt, living a double life while he was playing professional football.

We all within this Society are guilty of burying our true self’s and our empathy of ourselves and others around us, but this verdict of Hernandez and others like him, only takes it to the next level. When harm comes to us and we don’t acknowledge the harm correctly, we then look to other ways, in order to relieve ourselves of this harm, this includes hiding who we truly are and hiding our true feelings and emotions, which we then become clouded in our judgements and make stupid decisions, without truly thinking of the ramifications of our actions. True Arron received what he deserved, but if he addressed his issues before the pain of the issues became so great, where he did whatever he needed to make the pain go away, then he may not be in the situation he is now and just maybe, he could of lived a very good and plush lifestyle, with the big money he was awarded, from the team he played professional football for. Let this be a wake up call for all of us throughout Society, do we want to go down the same path as Arron Hernandez, or do we want to correctly fix our issues, so we can walk a path along our journey of life that brings us peace and much happiness throughout our lives?

The Boston Bruins has been my favorite hockey team throughout my life, I understand the game of hockey inside and out, the decision to relieve Peter Chiarelli the general manager of his duties, was the correct one by the Bruins, as Peter did nothing to make this team better this season and give coach Claude the necessary tools to do his job better. Peter also subtracted players who were the identity and chemistry of this team without replacing them, when you subtract quality from anything and not add back anything, eventually you end up with zero with nothing to show. I understand to make a decision to release someone of their duties is very hard at any level, with that said my respect for Cam Neely just grew bigger than it was. This decision was the right one to make, so the Bruins can move forward to be better and get back at playing the game of hockey, so they can be successful at bringing the Stanly cup back to the City of Boston, for the organization and fans to enjoy.

” I bleed black and gold, the true colors of a great organization of the Boston Bruins”

” to wear the spoked B on your hockey jersey, is that of pride and passion for a sport of which you love”

” Arron Hernandez was a gifted and talented football player, now with his clouded judgements and bad decisions, will have these talents rot in a jail cell the rest of his life”
