Ye of little faith Bruins fans………

These Boston Bruins this season of 2015, are a competitive group of guys and can compete with any team. The problem lies with injuries of key players at the wrong times and now that you are forced to bring guys up from the farm club to fill in, gets you away from believing in and trusting the system put in place by the coach. This system of the coach works and is proven, when they won Lord Stanley in 2011, the only way it works 100% is, the players have to bye in and execute, when you have multiple players coming up from the farm club, all they want to do is prove they are worthy of staying and do not bye in 100% to the system, this causes a bit of team doubt and chaos throughout the entire team.

Claude Julien is proven that he is a great coach and has become one of the Bruins best coaches of my lifetime. His system when the players bye in, is keep everything to the outside, let the Goalie see the shot and control the neutral zone. The hardest part of the system is, finding the right players to bye in, finding players who develop a bond and chemistry with each other, not players who only think of Individual stats. Players like Patrice Bergeron are perfect examples of a player that has bought in to the system and uses it to achieve greatness and respect throughout the league.

The system of Claude Julien is defense first, true it may be a boring system, with no big production on offensive, but when you believe and trust the system, play good solid defense, this is what creates the offense. Control the neutral zone and take advantage of your opportunities with good play making, this is what turns to goals and offense. Now true that there are some issues and things that need to change, in order to keep this team competitive moving forward, it all starts with the GM in Peter Chirelli. Peter has not done enough to give the coach enough to work with, in the type of player needed to make the system work.

The changes to this team have to be the type of players that not only bye into the system of the coach, but players that will bond with and develop a chemistry with each other, not a player who only plays for his own stats. The Bruins have a few good players within the  core of the team in which to rebuild, players like Rask, Bergeron, Lucic, Kretchi, Kelly, Soderberg, Paille and Talbot, with young talent in Pasternak, Spooner and Ferlin to start with and building a great team around them. You don’t always need the Worlds best goal scorer to solve your offensive whoa’s, the Capitals with Ovetchkin proves this theory, you need four solid lines that bye into the system, play at a high level, every second they are on the ice and for one another. In 2011 the Bruins had multiple players with 20+ goals, not one player with 50+, this is how you become competitive and hard for any team to compete against you.

The Stanley cup is the hardest to win and most prestigious trophy in all of sports. When you are able to lift the trophy as a champion, not only have you earned it, but you earned it with your “teammates” by your side. Hockey is not an Individual sport, it is all about team and players playing for each other. When you have a team with a good bond of each other and have a chemistry of each other, now you have a team of greatness, not too mention having bought into the system of the coach, when you play as a team, trust in your abilities and the system put forth in front of you, trust in your teammates with a chemistry of each other, now you have a true team, that can compete at a high level, to achieve the most prestigious trophy of all sports, the Stanley cup, not to mention being a true Champion of the sport you love and play.

” Hockey is a sport where all involved have to be on the same page with, a bond and chemistry for each other”

” Hockey is a sport where an Individual might win you a game, but never a championship”

” Trust, chemistry and a team bond is a huge part of any championship hockey team, to be able to hoist Lords Stanley cup”
