Mayor Tom Menino was not just the Mayor of the City of Boston, he was a great man that brought diversity to the City, he didn’t want just lip service to do something, he wanted you to back up those words with actions.

Mayor Menino’s last trip through the city he loved, shows the diversity that will ultimately become his legend, people standing side by side from all walks of life, applauding and saying thank you as he drives by in the hearse, these people coming together because of the actions of a great man and Mayor of the city of Boston.

This diversity shows even bigger inside the church, which will hold his service and is the same church that baptized him as a young boy, you have a wide variety of diversity inside the church, all by invitation only, handpicked by the Mayor himself before he passed, these people inside are from all walks of life, the Mayor didn’t care who you were, as he treated and judged everybody as equals, when you were hurt and in need of support, it was Mayor Menino that would always show up and reached out his hand to you in support for what ever you needed, the Mayor held everybody accountable of their words to bring them to action, he was the type of person that he didn’t just talk the talk, he also walked the walk and expected everybody around him to do the same.

Mayor Menino was a Human Being as we all are Human Beings that walk a journey through life, if we all showed just 10% of the Mayor’s qualities, this planet Earth in which we all walk our journey’s, would be more of love of one another, instead of all the bickering and hate that surrounds us now, Mayor Menino was a special man, a man that would always listen and reach out to show support for you, when he said he would do something, he did what he said, he also didn’t care where you were from, or who you were, he always looked at his fellow man as an equal and someone that was walking a journey through life, as he walked his journey through his life, he walked his journey as his favorite song would say “I did it my way”, sung by the late Frank Sinatra.

Mayor Menino you will always have a place in all our hearts and hopefully we all can see your true message of your journey, as we move forward showing this message, by reaching out a helping hand to one another, by showing more love of one another no matter who you are, or what walk of life you come from, Mayor Menino did this everyday of his journey and he did it like the song, ” I did it my way”.

May you RIP Mayor Menino and thank you for all you did, for everybody of the city of Boston.

” respect and dignity goes a long way on our journey of life, it is time we all see just how far they will take us”

” Diversity is each and every one of us as Human Beings that walk this Earth, we are all unique in our own way, but yet very equal as Human beings that walk a journey through life”
